Nice clean small basement apartment, very convenient to walk downtown Port Angeles. Two grocery stores within 5 min walk. Only real downsides are occasionally hearing the host walking above, and the many homeless in the town. Good restaurants nearby but also nothing opens before 8 am…

My Mom and I had a great stay here! The space is so cozy/private, bed was comfortable, and the outdoor patio was lovely to hang out on and drink coffee on sunny mornings and grill our dinner at night. The hosts were responsive, kind and left lots of good recommendations for the area in a binder. There’s a public park area in front of the house that has great views of Port Angeles, and a zig zag path just steps away that leads to the main downtown area. We will definitely be back soon!

Great place to stay to visit Olympic National Park. It was clean ans spacious. Loved that it had a coffee pot and tea kettle and a toaster and microwave. Communication with hosts was great. Perfect place for a couple!!!

It was a great spot, nicely furnished and convenient to restaurants near the waterfront. We loved the zigzag trail down the hill to first st. Very quiet, I would highly recommend.

Cute place in great location near Olympic National Park

Well-designed space with everything we needed for a couple of nights near the park. Convenient and safe location. Comfortable bed, nicely appointed bathroom, and cozy sitting area. enjoyed having our breakfasts on the little patio! Host very responsive.

Clean and updated. Keurig coffee maker. Comfortable bedroom with box fan for white noise. Loveseat and chair for watching TV. Everything you need to enjoy your stay. Private outside area to sit and sip your coffee or libations. Fyi, Shower had powerful water pressure which felt like a spa. Highly recommend this centally located VRBO for a good place to begin your adventures.

Very comfortable unit that had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us. Less than 2 miles to Olympic National Park visitor center and within walking distance of downtown. It was great to be set up high away from the traffic with spectacular views of the harbor and the mountains when you stepped outside. We enjoyed the zigzag walk down to town, but you can always easily drive if you can't manage the climb.The unit has a cute outdoor area that was completely private and functions as another room when the weather is good. The king size bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The appliances and small frig were perfect for our breakfast and lunch food. Nice restaurants within walking distance. We even caught a free concert at the pier and had delicious ice cream at Welly's that the blend with fresh fruit.

Clean and comfortable little apartment

The Porthole had everything I needed for. 4 night stay - a comfortable clean bed, lovely little bathroom, and a little kitchenette for morning coffee. Location was ideal (just walk down the zigzag ramp for access to downtown), and parking and entry/exit was easy and private. I was even able to work on my laptop outside on the deck in complete privacy with my coffee in the mornings!Lovely stay! Would do it again!

We had a delightful stay in the cozy and comfortable Porthole. The check in was a breeze and we found everything we could possibly need in this both well appointed and supplied fun space. The bathroom has great lighting, super nice shower, and lots of towels:) The covered patio was a relaxing spot for lunch, the bench on the front lawn provided a great spot to watch sunset and enjoy the water views, and the zig zag path in front of the house provided the perfect walk to and from town. We had excellent communication with the hosts. In response to a need we had, they were very prompt and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return to explore more of the area one day.

The location is hard to beat. It is smackdab center in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. It is a great retreat from a busy day of soaking in the national beauty of Port Angeles, the Strait of Juan De Fuca, Olympic National Park, and the beautiful Pacific Ocean beaches. The apartment is centrally located with only a short stroll to downtown, the waterfront, and the North Olympic Discovery trail. The main house sits on the bluff overlooking downtown and the Port Angeles Harbor. Immediately, from the front yard (the one facing the water), is a small park for soaking in the scenery and accessing Port Angeles quirky "Zig Zag Walkway" connecting with Downtown.

Go ahead, compare THROUGH THE PORTHOLE with the best motel room in Port Angeles. There's a good chance it will beat them, since most motel two room suites in P.A. go for well over $450 a night (peak season). PORTHOLE is a bargain at only a portion of that. Come and see.
