Terrific place to stay in Fire Island, Pines

We (myself, my wife, my two daughters, and a boyfriend of one of them) stayed in this lovely, comfortable home while in Fire Island, Pines for our nephew's wedding. The wedding was only about ten houses down the block, so this was a terrific location for us. The house is extremely comfortable and furnished with everything one might need. The bedrooms and bathrooms were quite spacious and the views from the house were terrific. The dining room, living room, and kitchen were large and wonderful places in which to hang out and relax. The owners were accommodating and responsive (for example, we inadvertently left a few things in the house and they mailed them to us). All in all, an excellent place to stay.

Great old house, perfect location

While the outdoor area is currently being upgraded, we had a great time. House is well laid out and very conducive to entertaining, nicely laid out kitchen and nice separation of bedrooms. We have a very nice stay.

The house was in considerable disarray, contrary to the listing and our previous experience: > The deck is notably more damaged than the last time we booked, and a whole chunk of the paver walkway has collapsed into the water, with benches pushed up against it as a make-shift barrier. Suffice to say this poses a concerning safety hazard. > The canopy over the table outside is no longer there leaving no shelter out on the deck and is directly contradicted by the image online. > The deck itself has decayed enough that rusty nails are poking up from their housing and pose a hazard. > There is construction debris in multiple places including a trash can of scrap, equipment jammed onto the deck and a rail in the living room is split and dangling precariously. > There is a giant, rusted tractor obstructing a portion of the view and creaking loudly all through the day and night. While not directly within the owner's control as this is the neighbor's tractor, this should have been identified prior to our stay.

Beautiful and comfortable stay!

The house is huge and lovely but the outdoor area is really the star - beautiful deck, hot tub, and pool that look out over the bay. A few swans came by to say hello too! Very close to the harbor and beach as well. My family had a terrific stay!
