We had a fun family ski trip! A bit lacking in the snow department, but well, what can you do!? The house was fully stocked and Rick was a great host. Loved the sun room with all the gorgeous plants! Beautiful place!
Amazing place, considering how it was designed and built. The house is outside the ski boundary, so not a true ski in ski out; u will walk .15 miles to get to the Heading Home run. One downside: Bedroom 4 is accessed either by walking through bedroom 3 or by a staircase that requires u to exit the house and re-enter from another exterior door. The main staircase (not in the pix) going upstairs is a tight spiral staircase that could be a challenge for some.Wildlife is eager to check you out!
Very nice place. The location would have been better with more snow….. We had to walk quite a ways to get to the ski slope.

Thank you for coming. You all did great. We received a foot of snow a few days after you left. That solved the ski in problem.

Excellent Ski in, Ski out House
This was hands down the best place we have stayed at in Angel Fire! It was perfect for our large family. The kitchen was completely stocked and the house was very clean. True Ski-in, Ski-out. We were very impressed. Highly recommend!

My wife and I live in this house year around when it is not rented. We love the snow in the winter and the flowers in the spring. The animals are always coming and going. Each new season brings a different beauty and opens the door for different activities. It is a joy to share a dream of mine with those who love the mountains. Rick
This place is so unique, in a good way. The living area on the main level included a very well appointed kitchen, a wood stove, multiple eating areas and comfortable living room. We were surprised buy the large sun room with a spiral staircase up to the second level. The craftsmanship is beautifulAnd a short walk to the Heading Home ski run was a major plus.
This is the second time we stayed in this amazing house. Rick was great and very helpful. We had a short walk to the slopes (due to Texas Flat not groomed) but were able to ski right up to the back door. Great ski-in / ski-out especially with kiddos. We loved this house.
Very unique property with lots of character.
The orange dots on the tree path lead us to the slopes! Then, after a few hours, we loved skiing under the tree teepee all the way to the back door!
This made it easy to come to the fully stocked kitchen for lunch, some rest time, then back on the slopes. We enjoyed a great family time!
We had an amazing vacation staying in this beautiful home. The owner, Rick, is so hospitable and just a text/call away with any thing you might need. The home is probably the best stocked rental we have ever had in our 30 years of traveling. Our boys loved being able to ski in and out. Chains or AWD vehicle are needed if there is a lot of snow as the home is located quite a ways up the mountain. We would definetly recommend this rental and hope to return in the near future.
Super clean ! Loved our time here … if you don’t like stairs - then don’t book , all rooms are on second level . Kids can not ski in and out - we are in great shape - and it was HARD to ski in / out . Kids would not have made it . - there was not a lot of snow while we were at AF , so maybe that makes a difference. ?!

Thanks for coming. My wife and myself, my children and my six grandchildren can all ski into the house, but there must be snow.

Best Experience in Angel Fire
The pictures of this house do not do it justice. The house has an amazing kitchen area with enough space for the whole group with a nice fireplace to keep everyone warm. The living room has surround sound with plenty of seating to relax after a long day of skiing. The bedrooms are huge and we were able to fit our group of 16 quite comfortably. The hot tub was always hot and was great to lounge in while the sun went down over the mountains in the background. The ski-in and ski-out aspect was huge for our group because everyone could come and go as they pleased rather than carpooling to the resort each day. Rick was a gracious host and avaliable to answer all my questions. I've been coming to Angel Fire for the past 4 years and this was hands down the best time/housing accommodations I've had. The only negative of this house was leaving at the end of the week. I will definitely look to rent this house again, thanks Rick!

Thanks Edward For those kind words. Spending time in the high mountains has always been one of my favorite things to do. Rick
We had a wonderful time!… the 14 inches of snow on our arrival was awesome. The house was exceptionally stocked… when they say you need nothing but food and clothes… believe it!
Everything we needed and wanted was there!. We had our family of 16 ages from 3 to 65… Rick even made us a trail from the house to the runs. Great hospitality and we Would definitely recommend this home! Thanks for a Wonderful time!!
This was an absolute great place to stay !! Very accommodating in every way ! Plenty of space to relax , sleep, and eat !!!! 100 yard walk to the slopes and ski right back to the back of the house ! Hot tub was great and much needed after a day of skiing !!
Thank you guys !!!!
This was a great place to stay!! We had an amazing time with our family and friends. We had 14 people and a baby and it was plenty of room. The walk to Headed Home was hard on us low altitude folks , but still not bad and would def stay again!!
Best stocked place we’ve ever stayed in.. had everything we needed.. hot tub was great after skiing.. beds were comfy and easy to get to and from the skiing!! Best part was texting back and forth with the owner!!
This house is easy to access from the slopes, only a minute walk and has great little hills for the kids to sled on. We loved the deck and built an igloo. Overall great house.
Great house. Owner is very responsive. It was our third time to stay here. Snowed a lot one night and owner came and cleared the snow from the driveway. Will stay again.

Why they chose this property
As a backpacker and lover of the out doors, I have always loved the high mountains and dreamed of building my dream house where there is lots of snow. The problem is finding a high mountain you can get to after 2 feet of snow falls. The Village of Angel Fire does an outstanding job of maintaining the roads and the Angel Fire Resort is the perfect neighbor. I can snow board down to the village for a loaf of bread, take the chair lift up and slide back to the house. A dream come true.
