Historic Seaward Cottage Located Mins of Dock Square

Fully restored to its former glory, one of the original family homes of the renowned Seawards is now available to anyone who loves Kennebunkport. Seaward Cottage is walking distance to Dock Square and everything Kennebunkport has to offer.

This charming and historic New England cape features a large kitchen with eating island, elegant quartz counter tops, a large dining space, and living room with a stone fireplace on the main floors. There is also a full bath with walk in shower and washer/dryer. The second floor features 3 bedrooms (2 kings, 1 queen), and a full bath with walk-in shower. The third floor is a 4th bedroom loft featuring a king size bed and two twins.


The home has all-new kitchen appliances, full laundry, wifi, central heating and cooling, a covered front porch, a 3-season sun room for relaxing, reading, and a rear deck and large, private back yard for partying and barbecuing. The house sits back on top of a hill with a large driveway for plenty of parking. This is a family owned house since 1945 when the patriarch of the family, Raymond Seaward, returned home from WWII as a decorated war hero. The family recently renovated it with an American theme in honor of their grandfather.

This wonderful, historic family home has been enjoyed and cherished by the Seaward's for generations, and now it's available to anyone who loves Kennebunkport and wants to make memories with their family and friends. What's even better is you're in walking distance to town, bars, restaurants, shops, events, and the beautiful Kennebunk River, where you can watch the tide and boats come in and out.You are also a short 5 minute drive to both beaches. There isn't a more perfect location to stay in the Port!! We look forward to seeing you soon!

Booked this place for my friend’s bachelorette party, was so perfect! Was a super close walk to town and about a little less than a 2 mile walk to the beach. The house has everything we needed- beach towels, beach chairs, toys, etc. only complaint was the fire alarm kept going off when we used the oven but no other issues. Place was very clean and air conditioning worked great. Quiet neighborhood with beautiful homes.

We had a wonderful trip. You will feel at home instantly. The house was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. Walking distance to town and in a very nice neighborhood. Owners were very helpful and made sure we had clear instructions for all our needs. We would love to come back again!

Everything about this home is beautifully curated and lovely. We arrived to find completely immaculate spaces, complete with a lovely backyard with games, outdoor furniture, a barbecue, as well as a fire pit. The host was so easy to contact and Casey responded so quickly to any little thing we needed. Seven of us fit very comfortably and easily. Thank you, Casey, for a wonderful experience. Kennebunkport is a great place to visit and we would love to stay in this home again, anytime!

Casey, our host, was very responsive. He called before our visit to review the property details.Our family of grandparents, parents and children (9 total) fit comfortably in the house.We were within walking distance of Dock Square and a short drive to the beach. We were impressed with the lobster rolls and chowder at the Clam Shack.While in Kennebunkport, we took the Trolley Tour to see the historical sites including the Bush Compound and St Anne's Episcopal Church. Be sure to take a Lobster Boat tour and a Whale Watching tour to complete the visit.

We had an amazing stay! The hosts were so accommodating and responsive. The location was perfect - we walked into town everyday, and were grateful we didn’t need to worry about finding a parking spot! Would definitely recommend.

Awesome little get away spot

Our family from several states met for an extended weekend and this place was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone and the outside spaces were great when we just wanted to relax at the house.

We, a family group of 6 ages 7 to 65, enjoyed a stay at this beautiful home to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and the July 4th holiday. This was the PERFECT home to celebrate July 4th due to it’s Americana theme. Home was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the owner had a fully stocked kitchen with all of the essentials. Backyard is large and there is a grill and a fire pit. Lots of games to play for kids/family including cornhole, beach chairs and boogie boards available as well. Very convenient for walking into town, the beach really requires a vehicle to transport all that you need, parking there can be difficult but the beaches are nice. Neighborhood is quiet and quaint. The home would not be suited for someone who cannot manage steps and the stairway to the loft is very steep. Plenty of room for parking in the driveway. Host was friendly and able to be reached without difficulty prior to arrival, we had no issues during our stay. Highly recommend this home and we hope to return in the future!

Great Family House

This house worked perfectly for my family. We were traveling to Kennebunkport with 9 adults and two small children. Beautiful fully stocked kitchen, two updated bathrooms, nice backyard with 2 fire pits! Everything we needed was in the house. Would highly recommend this home. Wonderful location within walking distance to town. Perfect!

Great Spot in Kennebunkport

We enjoyed our stay at Seward Cottage. The house is very close to Dock Square and we walked to the square almost everyday. Access to 95 was not far off so we were able to easily visit Portland and Freeport. The house was very clean and the owners made check in a breeze. We loved it.

Close to Dock Square

Very clean and thoughtfully set up house. It looked recently remodeled. The yard was spacious and great for the kids to run around in. Located about a 8 minute walk to dock square.

Excellent 70th bday party

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We enjoyed celebrating our sisters 70th birthday here! Awesome accomodations. Easy and safe 10 minute walk to downtown stores and restaurants! Private backyard with gas firepit . Communication and check in flawless. Owners awesome to deal with. We 8 sisters will be back!

The Perfect Getaway House

We had an incredible experience staying at this beautifully maintained house in Kennebunkport, Maine. The beds were unbelievably comfortable – I even tried to find out where they got those super comfy mattresses! The distance to the charming town, with its array of shops and restaurants within walking distance, added to the overall convenience. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to a washer and dryer. The thoughtful inclusion of games for the kids made it a family-friendly haven. The cozy couch and recliners provided the perfect relaxation spots. Every aspect of the house was pristine, making our stay truly enjoyable. We loved it so much that we're already planning our return trip. We highly recommend this place for a comfortable and memorable stay in Kennebunkport!

Fantastic, Convenient & Comfortable Gem in Kennebunkport

This home is beautiful inside & out. Modern & stylish with a comfortable & authentic Maine vibe. Everything from the deck furniture, fixtures, sofas, and gathering spaces (living room, kitchen) were beautiful & comfortable. We had 5 adults here for a long weekend & everyone had plenty of personal space & we greatly enjoyed our time together. The house is easily accessible from the Portland airport & major highways. Our group was able to walk into town for dining & drinks & shopping. Great jumping off point for adventures on the Maine Coast (Ogunquit, Wells Beach). Host was outstanding -- helpful, flexible, responsive, friendly & put everything in place for us to have a wonderful weekend. We hope to come back for another visit. Highly recommend.

OUR NEW GO-TO VACATION SPOT

I wanted to share our wonderful experience at this great house in Kennebunkport, Maine. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and made our family's stay truly special. The cleanliness of the property was impressive, and the thoughtful gift they left for our celebration touched our hearts. The convenience of being within walking distance of the shops and restaurants added to the overall awesomeness of it. The house provided ample space for both adults and children, making it an ideal family-friendly choice. The recent updates were a nice touch, and my wife was genuinely pleased with my find. We've decided this place will be our go-to spot for our annual Maine getaway. A happy wife a happy life. You have got to check this place out, my wife told me to write that!

However, it is also located in the perfect spot to walk into town and enjoy the restaurants and shops. The neighborhood is considered the golden district of Kennebunkport because of it's location.
