Prom weekend

Came to the island to be close to our kid going to prom as well as enjoy some down time with our other kids. Great location, quiet private beach. Not far from the seawall, general dollar right down the street in case you forgot anything. Few restaurants with in 10 minute drive. Host was excellent to communicate with and really accommodating. Definitely would stay again!

Fun and relaxing getaway

We really enjoyed the beach house. The property was in great condition and felt like a home away from home. We had plenty of space and all the amenities for the weekend to feel comfy and cozy. The high definition TV made movie night great. The short walk to the beach worked fine for us, and the beach nearby was away from the crowds, which was nice. The hosts are a text away, but we had no issues and didn't need to reach out. Would love to come back over the summer.

One of the Best Houses on the Street

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with our daughter and son-in-law at this beautiful vacation home. The house was easy to find along the Galveston Island and is located in a quiet neighborhood. Like most homes in Galveston the main living space is on the second floor with a long stair case to access. There are 2 large porches to spend some time with family and you can be in the shade at all times of the day. The inside of the house is nicely decorated and well stocked with everything we needed for our short stay. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms are large and well equipped and the laundry room was an added bonus! Everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. Our only drawback of the trip was the mosquitoes so just make sure you put on spray before you take a walk, no matter what time of day/night. The beach is close by and was busy on this weekend but that was certainly due to the holiday. I would imagine it is a pretty quiet place most other times. Although we found a fun beach restaurant (Tipsy Turtle) the first night, access to a variety of restaurants and shopping is not near by so you will need to plan ahead for groceries and be willing to driving into Galveston where there are many good places to eat near the pier downtown. There is a Family Dollar close by for quick supplies. A peaceful, quiet place to relax for the weekend. Thank you to our hosts for sharing your home with us!!

Jamaica Beach

Great location. Could walk to the beach and be there in a few short minutes. Two large deck areas for nice viewing of sunrises, sunsets, and enjoying the outside. Close enough to town to get to all the good restaurants and enjoy the scenery along the way.
