Perfect for a quick trip

This property at Lawson Rock was the perfect place to stay for our quick trip to RoatĂĄn. Check in and check out was seamless and everyone was incredibly friendly. This little condo was perfect for my husband and me.

The Lawson Rock condo was just about perfect for our needs. It was roomy, very close to the beach, had a nice porch area for as sitting out of the sun after snorkeling, and pretty quiet, considering the complex is off the main drag to West End and the unit faces the street. Salt and pepper, coffee filters, and detergent were provided (I assume that’s standard), as well as paper towels. A standard sized strainer in the kitchen would have been nice for spaghetti, but we improvised. We never used the pool but the area looked nice. The on site restaurant was a gem - we purchased many lunches there, and their passion fruit jelly is to die for!The only negative - and it was a huge one for us but may not be for others - is the fact that there are lights right outside the bedroom slider that automatically turn on at night. A nice idea for those walking the complex after dark - but there is a white shade and white panel “curtains” covering the slider glass door; these do very little to keep the light out of the bedroom, resulting in a room that is definitely not dark. Blackout or at least a thicker/more solid fabric in a darker color is needed; my wife slept with her airplane sleep mask on all week, which was not particularly comfortable.Besides that, the place was a nice find.

Paradise for Two

Very picturesque, comfortable condo complex, with 24 hr onsite security. This cozy, one bedroom condo was literally 10 steps from a vast sandy beach which copious available sunlight and nearby shade when needed. With exception to the nearby "freeway", frequented by a wide range of unenforced speeding motorcycles and cars, the Lawson Rock area is very quiet and safe.The pristine Caribbean ocean at your doorstep, offers a variety of options including world class diving, snorkeling and even fishing right from shore. Exploring the plethora of restaurants, and ocean side grills is highly recommended. The food is nothing less than amazing!The island culture is open for everyone to embrace, respect and enjoy. We will be back!

A bit of Paradise

The small unit was exactly as expected and then some. The kitchen was small with 2 burner stove and a part microwave, part convection oven. Excellent pots and pans. Bed was very comfortable and shower spacious. There were some condiments like sugar, salt and pepper, coffee filters dish soap and paper towels. Washer and dryer were fine and detergent was there which I replaced for any following guests. There was no need to bring beach towels as there were lots. Patio was great, offering a lovely view. The only negative comment we can offer, is the comfort level of the sofa. We did not use it as a pull out, but we found it rather worn and saggy. Wifi was great. For a first time in Roatan we feel we chose well booking a unit in Lawson Rock. We would return but for a lengthy stay would choose a larger unit with full kitchen.

Great Stay at Angelfish 100, Lawson Rock

We spent six days at Lawson Rock, Angelfish 100, in April 2019. The unit was clean and well maintained and was perfect for the two of us. This is a great place to relax as it is away form the tourist and entertainment areas, but a quick cab ride to these areas and local restaurants. The staff was polite, professional and helpful throughout our stay and we felt very safe with the friendly and professional security staff on site. A local cell phone was provided, which allowed for easy access to a taxi cab, when needed, through a number provided to us by the staff. We definitely plan to return in the future.

Gorgeous location, perfect beach and pier!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this luxury condo. Everything is new and in pristine condition. We spent hours on the pier, just steps from the condo. Secluded and tranquil location, we hardly saw a soul! Felt like we had the place to ourselves. Condo included everything we needed and we felt right at home. Can't wait to return!

Very nice property!

The condo was really nice/well-equipped and the perfect size for a small family. The view and grounds were beautiful. The only "disappointment" was that the seaweed/seagrass at the shore prevented swimming and my son wouldn't go in it (9 yr old). If you had water shoes it would be okay to walk in it. It was nice to have kayaks to paddle out and once you got a little offshore there were great places to snorkle. The pier/dock was some distance away and you could use the swim ladder there which we did. My suggestion to management would be to give the guests a map of the property. We were mystified as to where the dock was, where the property boundaries were, where the 3 pools were located (we tried each one, they are each pretty small), and the little gym. The map could also include beach or road accessible restaurants within walking distance, as we had to figure this out as well. The security was amazing and the guards would discretely accompany you no matter where you walked (I could never figure out what the exact danger was). This was a nice quiet location and easy to get to airport/West Bay and West End. We particularly enjoyed the ziplining at the park near West Bay where you could visit and hold monkeys/parrot afterwards. Staff was super nice, including our driver Frankie a/k/a JJ. We would love to come back!

A dream condo and beach vacation!

This has been a dream of a trip for us. We just loved the condo and the location, layout, everything was just right for us. It feels very safe and has everything you need, plus the beach is not crowded and the snorkeling is right outside your door and first class. We took a kayak out to the reef (they have them there for you free), tied it to a buoy and then snorkeled the reef. We saw squid, sea turtles, sting ray, a huge assortment of colorful fish and coral. Every morning we sat on the beautiful front porch and had our coffee, then got our snorkel stuff and walked out the door to the beach to snorkel in the blue warm waters! It was like paradise! Back in the the condo we showered in the really nice big round shower, threw on casual clothes, headed up to the street (short walk) and put our hand up for a taxi, never waiting more than a couple minutes for one. Then off to "The west end" of the island for good food, entertainment, drink, lots of people! Great to come back to our private, quiet and comfortable condo for a wind down walk on the beautiful private beach! We are already planning to save up to do it again!

Beautiful area, gorgeous condo!

The property was gorgeous and well-secured by round-the-clock security. This condo in particular was positioned on the corner, so it had a wonderful view of the ocean and had a walk leading straight to the beach. You can easily swim, snorkel, or kayak right outside the condo. The interior was very modern, clean, and comfortable. It is within walking distance of several shops and restaurants. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a beach getaway!

This is a great condo for a couple or small family! The interior has been very well decorated and it is right on the beach. The views are beautiful. The complex where the unit is has great security. It has a guard house at the front, too, that keeps out other tourists. This keeps the beach quiet and relaxing. You can also snorkel on the beach or go to do a glass bottom boat tour or scuba. The unit is not too far away from the tourist areas but close enough that it is not more than a quick drive to almost anything you're looking for. We did a glass bottom boat tour and it was great!

Gorgeous, secure 24/7, right on the beach

My wife and I stayed here a week in September. It is gorgeous, well kept, brand new condo. This Lawson Rock area is secure and safe in that they had a gated entrance with a security guard and security walking the property 24/7. The condo itself is really pretty with beautiful granite counters, colorful chairs/couches/floor mats, a super comfy queen bed, and all the necessary appliances . Great location on the island. We spent many a quiet morning sitting on the veranda drinking our Honduran coffee and looking at the ocean. This unit is right on the beach--can't beat it! We used the free Kayaks to get to the reef. Using the great kitchen, we ate most breakfasts and lunches right there and ate out at night. There is a very nice cafe just down the sidewalk from this unit which was nice. Lawson Rock has at least two swimming pools and we found them spotlessly clean. There is a TV in both the main room and the bedroom w/ over 100 channels. This unit was spotless, good wifi, some free minutes on a cell phone they provided and had helpful staff at the front desk. I'd definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives both.
