You have the home to yourself. Spread out as you get ready in the master bathroom suite, with glassed in shower with a raincan shower head and handheld shower spray, spacious trough sink with two Moen faucets, bathtub, full length mirror, and a separate toilet room. Rest in the king-sized Wesley Allen metal frame bed with an Aireloom, Manor Firm mattress. 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, 100% cotton duvet cover over comforter, 100% cotton quilt and 100% cotton blanket available if needed.

After a day on the town, soak in the Kohler bubble massage air tub. Enjoy coffee or a glass of wine on the front porch, first floor deck under the heritage bur oak tree branches, or take the circular staircase to the third floor deck and catch a view of the Austin downtown skyline and sunset.

Beautiful home in one of the best locations in central Austin. House is very well appointed in a quiet residential neighborhood, a great area to walk or relax on the rooftop deck. Jackie, the host, responds quickly and maintains a lovely "Austin themed" property.

The perfect “few-days” getaway

The property was beautiful such a fun and relaxing vibe. The amenities, local attractions, and overall process made this a vacation to remember. Frankly we enjoyed the place so much we decided to stay in more than we planned to go out. Thank you Jackie for an amazing stay and fabulous hospitality!

Perfect Austin getaway

Rented for Mom's weekend away with my best friend. The neighborhood was super nice and close to all Austin has to offer. The home is just fabulous! Love the rooftop decks. We will definitely rent again!

Lovely house, and great neighborhood!

Jackie's house exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed the two decks, the beautiful modern bathroom, and gorgeous modern finishes. And the house is walking distance to HEB, Juiceland, Curra's and Quacks. Best of all, Jackie was a wonderful, welcome and accommodating host. I hope to stay here again some day!

Quick weekend stay

We enjoyed this property very much. It was walking distance to our daughter's apartment and the property was very comfortable and exactly as pictured. It was a really nice and quiet neighborhood, yet close to the UT campus. Will stay again!

Design is affordable!

Charming 2 story with the feel of a home. Well-appointed kitchen makes eating "in" a pleasure. Loads nearby but out of the hustle-bustle. Only 1 TV remote -THANK YOU! A bit warm for the cool decks but we spent time away w friends in Dripping Springs. Jackie was available and had lots of tips for us 1st time visitors to Austin.

My first glimpse of the Hyde Park house peaked my interest right off the bat; after checking into the area on the map and reading the other reviews I decided to pull the trigger and stay here.So glad I did! This home is a gem! This property has lots of style, comfort and a great location. Terry has thought of everything you might need and is very responsive to questions. The bed is super comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook. We loved the central location in a quiet little neighborhood. L

Great house, great location, great host

We spent 2 months in this house. It exceeded our expectations - very comfortable and well equipped. Jackie is the perfect host - so generous and helpful. The gorgeous rooftop area offers wonderful views of the surrounding area, including downtown, and sunsets and the night sky: perfect for sundowners. I can’t recommend this more highly. We will return!

Wonderful experience

My husband and I spent the entire month of February living in this house. I enthusiastically concur with all the other rhapsodizing reviews posted on this site--these reviews accurately describe this high-quality spectacularly appointed property. Allow me to emphasize, however, that the house is perfect for two people; do not be fooled by the square footage. We never felt crowded at all--plenty of room to spread out on two levels and, of course, the large decks. Jackie and Rob were super helpful and a pleasure to be around. We would not think of staying anywhere else when we come back to Austin.

Home Away From Home

I travel over 3 months out of 12 each year and half of that is staying in apartment/house rentals. Jackie's was clean, modern, and homey. I was working at Antonelli's for the week and the location could not have been more perfect. Great residential neighborhood 10 minute walk to great tacos, coffee, cocktails, and cheese! Plus 15 minute drive into downtown Austin or a 15 minute uber ride. Great parking on site. Jackie was super responsive to any problems or questions I had. The best part was the bed....I own a $3k custom made mattress and frame from some high end British company.....this one was sooo comfortable that I ended up staying an entire day curled up watching Hulu and napping. IT WAS PERFECT. Can't wait to stay here again next time I am in Austin.

Comfortable, cozy & beautiful!

Jackie was such a delight to work with! She was very prompt in responding to any questions & to provide arrival information. The home was absolutely gorgeous - clean, great use of space, beautiful finishes, well made & classy! I could go on and on! It's without a doubt in our top 2 favorite stays; we've stayed at many different HomeAway and Airbnb places that didn't come close to this in value and price. We had a power outage on our last night there that lasted from 9PM - 3AM due to some pretty vicious thunderstorms that hit the Austin area. There were already a couple of candles & some matches in the 2 bathrooms which we used. As soon as the downpour let up, Jackie was over with more candles & matches & a flashlight so we had a little "excitement" during our stay as well! :) Location was fabulous; about a 15 minute drive or cab ride from the airport and walking distance from grocery store, bakery, bus stops, etc. Quacks is the bakery we had coffee at and we know from past experience that their cakes, cookies, & pastries are delicious - our son's apartment is across the street from them. An excellent Mexican restaurant is next to Quacks; great breakfast & lunch! We've purchased cheese from the cheese shop in that area as well which is always a great learning experience - who knew there were so many types of cheese! All in all we had an absolutely positive & fun experience and would highly recommend this listing to anyone for it's location, layout, amenities, cleanliness and owner customer service.

Modern, well appointed two person rental

This house is beautiful and the details exquisite. It has some nice Austin touches that really remind you of the unique city you are in. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet as it is nestled in a residential area. The decorations in the home appear to be high end, adding to the overall experience. There are a couple of artistic lighting fixtures that are quirky and unique additions. This house is as beautiful as the pictures suggest. My only complaints are minor, but I feel should be addressed for full disclosure to future renters. Look closely at her description, there is no TV on property. I like it for background noise and morning weather so it was not a huge loss, but be aware. The two rooftop balconies are a neat touch, but you will not be having a drink and a cigar while enjoying the views. This is a total non-smoking property, so the few times my husband had a cigarette while we are on property he walked across the street. Probably not a huge deal in such a health conscious city where smoking is widely banned, but, again, be aware. The last thing that may just be a personal annoyance and not a big deal to anyone else, but the rules ask that you do not wear shoes in the house. She has provided a shoe rack near the front door, but I don't generally walk around without shoes unless it is my own home. This rule is not known until you arrive and read the rules, so I did not think to bring house shoes; something I don't bring on travel to save luggage space. It would be nice to have the same rule sheet that is in the house available in the listing so that potential renters are fully aware of the guidelines and expectations. Overall, this rental is beautiful, comfortable, unique, and well placed. I would not discourage anyone in renting, it is an experience we really enjoyed and have already recommended the home to our friends.

Cute and Quaint Stay

My husband and I stayed at this location to celebrate our honeymoon in Austin. We loved the home. The house is definitely filled with Texan and Austinite trinkets and decorations. The master bathroom was beautifully updated and has two sinks. It has two great rooftop decks. It’s honestly just enough space for 2-3 people. The location of the house was perfect for us. Every place that we went to was no more than a 30 minutes drive. It’s also near an HEB, liquor store, and fast food restaurants in case you need to grab some items. Communication with the owner, Jackie, was easy and consistent!

Lovely Place

Lovely house in a VERY quiet, safe neighborhood. It has everything you need plus a fabulous bathroom, comfortable bed, awesome views from the decks, and great linens. Check in and out are easy, and Jackie is easy to chat with, should you need it. If you use a ride service while there, please note that the vacation rental faces Caswell Ave, so your driver will pick you up there, not on 44th. I have stayed at vacation rentals all over the world and this is one of the best in terms of space, location, and comfort.

Awesome place!

This house looks just like the photos. It was clean and beautiful, had everything we needed including complimentary coffee, and was in a great location. Jackie, the host, was very nice, available if we needed her, and responsive when we messaged. We would definitely stay there again when we come back to Austin!

Even better than advertised!

When booking our trip to Austin my wife and I were unsure of what we'd be getting into beyond some great BBQ. This property lived up to it's billing; it was clean, comfy, and located close to all the restaurants and attractions we wanted to visit. Jackie was a wonderful host who recommended some excellent activities (the Betty and Edward Marcus Sculpture Park is a must). If you're looking for a cozy getaway this is the way to! Thanks Jackie!

Excellent Stay!

Easily our best vacation rental experience ever - I’d give 6 stars if I could. My partner and I stayed for a full week leading up to our wedding, and it was a perfect base to get to explore Austin and prepare for the big day. The house was just so cool - the Austin-themed decor was fun, and I loved the view of downtown from the roof deck. The neighborhood is great - quiet and walkable to the grocery store and several good food options, like our favorite bakery (Quack’s). It seemed like Jackie had thought of everything, from how well the kitchen was stocked to the binder with helpful logistics and sightseeing info. She was quick to respond with any questions we had. Someday I want to live in a house as neat as this - what an awesome space!

Fantastic

My fiance and I just spent a week in this beautiful house and could not have asked for a better property to stay in. The rooftop deck has an absolutely beautiful view of the city. I love travelling and meeting new people. When I travel, I enjoy staying in houses using short term rentals, like HomeAway instead of hotels. My own kitchen, easy access to the outdoors, lots of space, friendly hosts. I have stayed in short term rentals for my vacations since 2004. At that time I was living in Hawaii. My family visited the islands through short-term rentals. Molokai and Kauai were our favorites! Since then, I have stayed in short term rentals on the Outer Banks, Vermont, Massachusetts, and when I first moved back to Texas in 2009. After living on 5 continents and 5 states, I am now calling Austin my home. The city parks, varied restaurants, clubs, theater, and other entertainment provide endless new experiences. Yet, if you stay central, Austin does not feel like a big city. It's easy to bike and walk to favorite places. I love the motto, 'keep Austin weird'. I look forward to sharing information about Austin with my guests. There are so many fun places to explore!

I have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchldren, all on the east coast. I was raised in Ohio, and still have my midwestern accent.

What makes this property unique

The street is extremely quiet for a central location. We have lots of dog walkers and other pedestrian traffic, as we are surrounded by dead end streets. You will love the neighborhood, Hyde Park, with many amenities within an enjoyable walk.
