Lindsay's place was awesome. Great access to the entrance for Glacier NP at West Glacier, and the great restaurants in town. The views were spectacular. Everything was really well cared for -- it was a perfect space for the three of us. We had questions about the door (which we could have learned about if we'd read the instructions on the kitchen island...), and Lindsay got back to us quickly. Would definitely recommend!
Beautiful condo in a great setting. Minutes from park entrance!
The condo sits high on a hill with beautiful views all around. Everything was clean and perfect when we arrived. The kitchen is beautiful and having a washer and dryer was fantastic. Great communication with owner at all times. Only one suggestion to improve experience - new pots and pans are needed for those who want to cook in the condo.
It was an excellent space. It was very clean, comfortable and convienant to all activities.
Very clean and comfortable offering everything we needed in terms of modern amenities. We enjoyed cooking and grilling there several nights and it was close enough to Columbia Falls to go check out a couple of local restaurants. Easy access to West Glacier hiking. Would highly recommend.
Furnishings old and uncomfortable
First the pros:
Amazing views from the apartment, although the spectacular view is from the bedroom windows, but the deck with seating is on the opposite side. The apt location is great, minutes from the park. The kitchen is nice and well lit. The owner gave us lots of recommendations, and there are maps/park information in the unit. Checking in/out was easy and flawless.
We had no trouble at all with the front door, as we have a similar one at home. However, the lock would benefit from a squirt of WD-40.
The cons: The seating in the living area is a 20+ year old couch, so worn that you sink in it when sitting down. This doubles as the pull out bed, which no one could ever sleep on because of age. It, and most of the furniture is dated and worn. Even the towels (green) had bleach spots on them. The bed in the bedroom has a "topper" on it, which made it very hot. There is an air conditioning unit in the living area which works great in the living/kitchen area, but does not reach the bedroom. Between that, and the mattress topper, we were very hot and didn't sleep well. I should mention that it was very hot during our stay, in the mid 90's!
There is only one mirror in the entire apt (in the bathroom) making it hard for two of us to get ready at the same time.
This place could be really great if they would update the furnishings. They should be upgraded to match the newer kitchen.
I realize that everyone has different expecations. We were not expecting the Ritz Carlton, but have stayed in numerous vacation rentals around the country where we have been "wowed."
With some minor modifications, this rental could be amazing. My recommendations would be to supply kleenex, shower soap, more hangars (not metal!), a comfortable chair/end table and reading light. And, of course, replace that ancient couch. And a larger salt shaker would be nice--we used what little was in the shaker on the first day. I would also add a hook on the back of the bathroom door to hang a robe.
Again, this could be a great rental with just some minor tweaking.
Thank you for your feedback. We upgraded the sofa to a queen size sleeper with rustic overtones and log framing to match the rest of the decor. The new couch is very comfy!
Fantastic Views as Advertised!
We stayed for a couple nights and could not get over the beauty! That, coupled with the location being just a few minutes from the west entrance made it an ideal location. The space is nicely furnished and had more than enough room space-wise for four people. That being said, the pull-out sofa bed was anything but flat so it made for a couple nights of uncomfortable sleeping for guests 3 and 4. I would definitely stay there again, especially with just two people.
Great location and amazing views!
This is great location if you want a good starting point to Glacier - the west side. It's only a couple if minutes to the park entrance. When we entered the property we discovered it hasn't been cleaned. I was initially disappointed but contacted Lindsey and there was a miscommunication with the cleaning crew. What impressed me was how quickly Lindsey responded decided and went above and beyond to make it right with us- comping is a night. Besides that minor issue that she made right, the over the garage apartment was everything it was portrayed and more.I loved our stay and was thrillled to be at such a great location. Thank you!
Five minute drive from Glacier National Park, 30 minute drive to Whitefish, and 35 minute drive from Kalispell International Airport. Mountain biking, whitewater rafting, doglsedding, spa all within 45 minute drive.
