Wonderful Beach Vacation
My entire family including our dog Ruger had a wonderful stay at 1A Grenoble place. The view was amazing & the kitchen was beautifully done. The close proximity to the beach made things very easy for my 95 year old Grandmother who has ben coming to Rehoboth for over 70 years. Karen the Property Manager was exceptional & there to answer all our questions. We will be looking to book again next year.
We had a great stay here...again. The downstairs bathroom renovation made a huge difference! We will be renting again next summer!
Great ocean view
This two-floor unit had a great view with angled balcony windows facing the ocean and the end of the Rehoboth boardwalk. We could easily see the dolphins passing by (but bring binoculars for a closer view). The unit itself was nice and very clean.
You enter the building through a coded entrance, then a 2-floor elevator (or stairs) takes you to a short hallway that leads to the main level of the unit. The main level had 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom. Upstairs, there were 3 bedrooms (master with a king bed, another with a queen, and the third with 2 twins) and 2 baths (one in the master). The master bedroom had a sitting room with a balcony. The master bathroom had an aisle with many drawers and cupboards and a mini fridge, and also had a double sink, jet tub, bidet, toilet, and a large walk-in shower.
Biggest pros were the view and easy boardwalk access. The biggest con, and the reason I took off a star, was that there was only 1 reserved space in the parking lot out front. You get 2 residential parking passes, but residential parking is a distance away and, at least during the July 4 week we were there, moving your car during day hours meant searching and settling for a more distant space. If you park in the metered spaces on the front lot (which beach goers fill up during daylight hours), it was $2 per hour, 10am to midnight.
Other than that, the unit was carpeted, which we thought made it less beachy, but the unit was still nice. I think our biggest negative was Rehoboth itself, which had too many traffic lights, too much traffic, and too many beach and boardwalk restrictions. They just instituted a ban on beach coverings larger than umbrellas, which we suspect was to increase their revenue from umbrella rentals. Umbrellas were thick nearer to the water as far as the eye could see, but there was open beach between the umbrellas and boardwalk.
Also should mention that there was no DVD/Bluray player for the living room TV. They can be found pretty cheap (under $30 on Amazon). If you bring your own, note that access to the HDMI and USB ports on the TV is difficult due to the wall mounting. There are small TVs in the bedrooms. Wifi Internet disconnected now and then, but only briefly.
Perfect in every way.
Very spacious and comfortable. Pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The pics provided fail to show the state of the art kitchen and luxurious master suite. An added bonus was being so close to Lake Gerar where we spent many mornings and evenings enjoying nature, taking in the scenery of the native trees and flowers and listening to the birds and frogs while walking around the path or sitting on one of the many benches along the way. It was also our first time in Rehoboth. We parked our car when we arrived and didnt have to get back in it til we left a week later. We walked to the shops and restaurants every day. Will be back next year for sure.
Thanks so much for your review. We will update the pictures on the site. Please send me when you nail down the dates for next year and I will pencil you in. We won't require a deposit until early next year.
This condo is perfect for an amazing vacation in Rehoboth. It is so close to everything. There was definitely a new mattress in the master bedroom this year.
We loved our stay here. Perfect location and the condo is comfortable and clean with a brand new kitchen andesign master shower. It could use new mattresses, but other than that everything was perfect. We will be staying here again!
