KokoKaiThaiPalace com (Aloha Palace com). First Available Rental month is May 2017. Hurry and Call Owner Milan and book NOW before rate increase! Honolulu homes can by law be rented only for a minimum term of 30 days regardless whether you actually stay that long and these 30-day rental periods must not overlap. The Rental Rate Quoting Feature of this portal is not designed to calculate properly the rental for homes such as the Palace located in a strictly residential area of Honolulu which must be rented most months for at least 14 nights of physical stay (entire month rental is preferred) because of the many expenses and costs of ownership and maintenance in top condition of a home such as the KokoKaiThaiPalace which simply cannot be covered by a rental shorter than 14 nights per calendar month, but you are welcome to inquire anyway. A rental request for occupancy for fewer than 14 nights will not be accepted at the published "nightly" rate which is only valid for rentals for at least 14 nights, and rental requests for an entire calendar month will usually take precedence over requests for a rental for a shorter term of actual physical presence at the house, just as even longer term rental requests for several months will. Only because the owner has newly redesigned the rental rates information to only quote the nightly and the monthly rental rate this portal now quotes the correct price but only if you are sure to enter the entire month or exactly 14 nights as your desired stay, no other period. Please always contact the owner Milan Vacek by phone or e-mail or Skype for the correct rental cost for any period shorter or longer than 14 nights. For rentals longer than 14 nights you can just add up the quoted cost of the first 14 nights for the given month plus the cost of the additional nights specified for that month in the heading and add 13.962% Tax. The longer you stay, the less you pay for the additional nights beyond the minimum 14-night nightly rate specified, and usually the longest rental request wins. There is no extra charge for up to 20 well behaved guests accommodated at the Palace at any one time, who of course can check-in and check-out at will. KokoKaiThaiPalace is a custom home (actually two homes, a very large three-story home with an elevator, and also a separate guest cottage located across the swimming pool from the main home) nestled in a very quiet cul-de-sac in the Triangle/Portlock exclusive residential area of Hawaii Kai in South-East Honolulu in Oahu. This magnificent villa built by Zen Buddhists in the style of a Palace in Thailand, with many exotic hard woods and marble tile imported from Thailand, features altogether 5 bedrooms and 4 baths and 2 half-baths, with 5 King size beds (one in each of the 5 bedrooms) and additional sleeping quarters furnished with Queen beds and comfortable Italian designer sofa-beds to sleep a total of 20 adult guests. The Separate-Entry Housekeepers/Storage Room located next to the Carport is not subject of this rental agreement. This magnificent villa is located high up above the other villas on the side of the extinct crater wall on the other side of which is the world-famous Hanauma Bay nature preserve which has a pristine sandy beach and very protected live coral with a myriad of friendly fish and even green turtles and is ideal for snorkeling and diving. Yes, incredible as it sounds, Hanauma Bay is located over the crater's wall from the backyard of this villa. Just hike up a dry creek bed to the rim of the crater and hike around Hanauma Bay, but make sure that you do not attempt to enter Hanauma Bay without watching the mandatory 9-minute educational video and paying the modest entry fee. If you are a Hawaii resident or in the military or 12 years or younger then admission is free. Anyone entering between opening at 6:00AM and approx. 7:00AM when the first of the box-office workers arrive, or during last hour of operation also legally get in for free. Hanauma Bay is closed on Tuesdays. The home offers beautiful wrap-around views from every room with amazing views of the sunset over Diamond Head crater and Waikiki Beach, ocean and surf views by day and City lights by night, and bonus views of the mountains and marina as well! But you can drive to Hanauma Bay in only about two minutes and the parking all day costs only $1.00, to give you more time for swimming, snorkeling and just soaking up the sun on the beautiful white sandy beach! This villa is also within walking distance to 3 shopping centers and fine dining and casual restaurants, gym and a movie theater! Public 'The Bus' transportation is also conveniently close-by at the entrance to the Hanauma Bay parking lot, and KokoMarina Shops, so you can go all around the island of Oahu by bus if you wish for just a few dollars! There are fruit trees on the tropical landscaped grounds, and unlimited reverse-osmosis filtered and energized water available to you at no charge on tap in the kitchen! If you are looking for a luxurious yet very private vacation home very close to the best swimming and snorkeling beach on Oahu, with a pool and jacuzzi located so high above the other homes in the area that you have total privacy, and one-with-nature Thai architecture that will take your breath away, this is your best choice!     Kids are welcome, just please be sure to supervise them so they don't hurt themselves (or destroy the house), which the owner bought to live in, so please try to leave the house in as nice a condition as when you moved in. Kids will be absolutely delighted when they visit Hanauma Bay, kids are free, and for body-surfing we recommend 'Sherwood Forest Beach' which is in Waimanalo just past the funky red-white checkered McDonalds you turn right and park free. It is an especially nice wide beach with just the right-size waves to enjoy the surf, with restrooms, and there are so many other beautiful naturally sandy beaches in South-East Oahu particularly in Lanikai, where you might feel as if you are in Tahiti. Make sure you also take the kids to the Sea Life Park and let them try the Dolphin Encounter experience. When you buy the yearly pass you only pay about twice the cost of a single entry, so if you stay long enough or plan to return within a year it is advantageous to buy annual pass....moreless

    Thank you for not smoking anywhere inside the villa, your lungs and friends and family will thank you for it as well! If there should be any smoking taking place within the home during a rental this is grounds for an immediate termination of rental contract with no right to get any refund of the rental price, so please make sure none of your family members and friends and visitors smoke inside any part of the room, and if they have to smoke outside the house but still on the property please make sure that they use an ashtray and do not leave any cigarette butts lying around, they are poisonous and potentially lethal to babies, plants, birds, and other living creatures. If you are a smoker and plan to rent my house first try to quit smoking and once you are an ex-smoker you will fully appreciate the beauty and one-ness with nature of this truly unique home and location, and yes, if you do not already have cancer you may live 20 years longer!.     If you find any ad anywhere for my house which 'welcomes' pets that is a dead ringer that the ad is phony, same goes for any ad that offers my house for rent on a nightly basis with no minimum stay, because the law which is very strictly enforced mandates that every rental contract for residential property for rent must be for a minimum of 30 days, regardless how long you physically occupy the house, and none of these 30-day periods can overlap so I can rent my house at best only twelve times per year which is why the rental periods are same as calendar months to encourage renters to preferably rent my house for the entire calendar month or ideally for approx. 28 nights to leave at least a day or two between the rentals to have enough time to do a good job cleaning the house and getting it ready for the next renters.     Thanks to the comfortable modern elevator servicing all three floors of the main house your wheel-chair-bound family members and guests should be able to move easily within the main house. However there is a step up from the carport (top of the driveway) to the floor-level of the ground floor of the main house so assistance by able-bodied friends or family members will be required to make it through the front door, perhaps a temporary slanted ramp could be made (by our able handyman David) or perhaps purchased ready-made if you let us know sufficiently ahead of time that you need a ramp. The third-floor master bedroom has a couple of stairs up to get from the elevator landing to the level of the bedroom and so it will not be practical for fully wheel-chair-bound guests to stay in the master bedroom unless you will have able-bodied group members who will be able to help them get there. About the owner: Aloha, in January 2011, I purchased the home of my dreams in the exclusive Triangle/Portlock residential area of Honolulu in Hawaii Kai, and I invested not only lifetime savings but had to sell the villa in my native city of Prague that was in our family for 80 years in order to be able to buy it, and still ended up with a small mortgage to pay for the next 25 years! If it were not for the mortgage I would be living in my dream home right now, and I would not be renting it. I enjoy knowing that vacation renters and their families enjoy spend their reunions and special celebrations at my house and always make the house even a little bit better every chance I get. In 2013, I widened the driveway, extensively remodeled a separate-entrance storage room adjacent to the carport by adding a bathroom and transformed it into a completely self-sufficient caretakers/storage room for myself, and installed a solar photovoltaic system to make the house even more ecological than before. I still have a BioMarket.cz business in Prague in my native Czech Republic, where I returned from Los Angeles following the Velvet Revolution of 1989. I will have to rent my beautiful home at least most of the year to cover the expenses of the house, but now I rent the palace myself and do not pay any commissions to any rental agency! The house was 'perfect' when I bought it and all my efforts since then have been to make it an even better place to live for me and my family, which should make it even more attractive and comfortable for you to stay in when you rent it. All improvements that I make and all purchases of new LED TV sets and other electronics and furniture are done with the long-term best interests in mind, and as a result of a recent visit of my ninety-year-old parents from Los Angeles the villa is even a bit more handicapped-access friendly. Why the Owner Chose Hawaii Kai, Honolulu, HI, USA:
I purchased this particular home because from the first moment that I saw it and especially once I was inside and saw the spectacular unobstructed views of the coastline and all the beautiful massive wood and marble and huge picture windows construction with plentiful louvered and screened windows for natural flow-through ventilation and the elevator to connect the three levels of the main house as well as the georgeous separate entrance Studio Guest Cottage I just knew that I had to buy it ... and I did! The home was not cheap, but just a couple of years before I purchased it, it was listed for sale for more than double the price that I had purchased it for, and the owners who built this magnificent home with so much love and caring and with no expense spared had invested so much money into making it the beautiful palace that it is that just about all the money that I paid them went just to pay off their mortgage, so I have no doubt that it was a 'bargain', and I am very proud to be the owner. I had resolved after seeing dozens of other beautifull homes mostly scattered over the nearby hilltops that I wanted to live in the Triangle area because of the proximity to the world-famous Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve in order to be close to the beautiful sheltered beach and live coral and incredibly tame fish and large green turtles with which I so much enjoy snorkeling and hope to be also scuba-diving in the future, which is only a short walking distance from the villa, as are several excellent public schools, shopping centers and many other attractions. I had toyed with the idea of buying a home in the 'marina' area which would have had a slip and the possibility of having a boat with which I could have had easy access to the sea, but because of the low bridge under which all boats have to go it is not possible to have a sailboat and in the wake of the recent tsunami disasters in Thailand and Japan I wanted to be 50+ m high above any tsunami dangers which my Palace is.
