Renovated & Walk to Beach. 5-star reviews. The Friendship House

Welcome to an antique Victorian Cottage built by New Silver Beach Company. You are welcome to follow along our 3+ year renovation journey on Facebook at: The Friendship House.

The property is 0.1m walk to the water and 0.2m (8 houses) from the beach and playground. The beach boasts jaw dropping sunsets for the artist or nature observer.

Guests have access to New Silver Beach Association, which runs movies, tennis, and basketball for kids. For adults you’ll find morning workouts and pickleball. There is a playground and a seasonal lifeguard on duty.

The space
You can spread out in one of the 4 bedrooms, including one queen bedroom on the first floor (great for multigenerational families). There are two indoor gathering spaces, plus a bright and airy three-season glass porch which comfortably seats 8. You’ll find two rocking chairs facing west to unwind and watch the sun set. There is a dining room, plus a cozy bistro set on the porch for your morning coffee or evening beverage.

Outside you can smell the salt air from four Adirondack chairs, roast marshmallows on the smokeless firepit, and grill your favorite cuisine on the Weber gas grill.

Bonus: Enjoy a rinse in the outdoor shower after you walk up from the beach.

We are 2.4m to Seacrest Hotel Resort, 1.6m to Shining Sea Bikeway, and close to restaurants and walking trails.

Please note the property is 120 years old and, while renovated, it comes with quirks you’d expect in an antique (such as settled floors).

Guest access
Guests have access to house and rear yard. The garage on property is private. There is one closet upstairs marked private, where we keep linens and supplies for cleaners.

Hi- I'm a mom to 2 very active kids, and my family absolutely loves Cape Cod. After owning a rental house in Dennis for a few years, we decided to switch to a place slightly closer to our primary home, so that we could easily pop down for a day or in between weekend sports games. Falmouth and New Silver Beach is our happy place and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We LOVE the neighborhood. Location, location, location sums it up. Walk to a private beach, fabulous neighbors, a walkable community (no crazy traffic approaching the beach), and awesome restaurants all close by. BONUS, the serene sunsets, historic Rte 28A, the bike trail, and of course being close to all main street in Falmouth and Woods Hole have to offer.

What makes this property unique

We own one of the original victorian cottages built at the turn of the century by New Silver Beach Company. The property has lots of character, and you'll catch seasonal water views out the pink twin bedroom.
