The area is super quiet, with lots of great outside space for relaxing and just being. Great kitchen set up the sharpest chef knives i have ever encountered in a vacation rental. lots of beach towels bathing towels, really everything you would need...
Very cool place in the hills, lots to love about the place:-beds/bedding/pillows were all very comfortable-A/C in bedrooms was perfect-wonderful outdoor spaces in shade, in sun, covered, with ample seating-available rental car, older Toyota with plenty of room and the perfect size for tooling around the island.-well appointed kitchen (we ended up eating in most of the time as a result)-quiet neighborhood-lots of beach towels and chairs to use when headed to the beaches.-place is very clean -only real thing to fuss about is that we wished there was more comfortable seating inside where all 4 of us could sit near each other.
Quiet and secluded property with lush landscaping. The host, Rene, was very friendly and helpful with providing suggestions for places to eat and things to do. Plenty of outdoor space to sit at night and watch the stars and sheltered areas also in case of rain. Indoor and outdoor cooking facilities although we didn’t use them much during our short stay. The wild horses visited the property most days. We herded them out through the gate a few times but they just found their way back in through the woods and it was a cool experience.

Great outdoor space but not quite as advertised.
We loved the location and Vieques itself. The VRBO was not quite as described—only one toilet works, the grill did not work (although a new one was delivered halfway through our stay), and about 50% of the lights/lamps worked. I can confirm that the microwave, toaster (air fryer), fridge, and stovetop worked, as did the AC units in the bedrooms (this is not whole house AC). The outdoor space had lovely landscaping and multiple seating options—vast deck space! The host, Rene, was nice and happy to provide local recommendations; however, prior to our stay, he was difficult to get in touch with—he required multiple contact attempts to edit our stay from 2 weeks to 1 week and took many weeks/reminders to process the refund. Additionally, he did not honor the advertised 20% new listing discount. About a week before our stay, he told us VRBO had refunded us too much money for our date change but wasn’t sure exactly how much we owed him. Then 1 day prior to our stay, he told us the only way to correct the billing was to cancel and rebook our reservation. When we rebooked, the 20% discount was not visible. When I asked him about it, he told me we were only eligible for a 10%/1 week discount. Since we were literally arriving in less than 24 hrs, I didn’t push it. We rented his car (80/d) which proved useful for island travel. It is an older RAV4 in fair shape—multiple warning lights were on, drivers seat belt was torn, made lots of odd sounds, but ultimately did the job.
Gorgeous 10 acre property, on the top of a hill, with a distant view of the ocean. Furnished with Asian antiques, beautiful rustic tile flooring. Rene the owner was extremely helpful, and really saved us by insisting that we needed to rent a car in order to fully enjoy the island—which was completely true. Great recommendations for beaches—Caracas and La Chiva were outstanding, and not at all crowded. The bioluminescent bay tour was fabulous (we went with Jak’s).
