Experience the best of Vieques from one of Esperanza’s most convenient locations. Just a 4-minute walk from Esperanza Beach, El Malecón, restaurants, bars, shops, and most Bio Bay tour pickup points, this home is the perfect base for exploring the island.

This 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom home features a full kitchen, dining area, living room, and a spacious private backyard where you can relax after a day at the beach. Enjoy the covered terrace, gazebo, outdoor shower, grill, yard games, hammock, and a unique mural created by a local Vieques artist.

We recommend the home for up to 6 guests. A high-quality full-size futon can comfortably accommodate 2 children, teens, or smaller adults.

While Esperanza is walkable, we recommend renting a car to fully explore Vieques' beautiful beaches, nature reserves, and hidden gems. We also partner with AquiCoqui Rental and can provide information about vehicle rentals upon request.

Traveling to Vieques:

FERRY: The ferry departs from Ceiba. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

PLANE: Fly directly to VQS from SJU or SIG.

Check-in starts at 3 PM and check-out is by 11 AM. Because we accept one-night reservations, we cannot accommodate early check-ins, late check-outs, or luggage storage before or after your stay.

Please note: Hot water is available in the shower only.

Security cameras are located outdoors for guest safety, including a Ring doorbell at the front entrance and a security camera facing the backyard exterior entrance.

You have access to the whole house, patio, fully fenced lot and beach essentials like beach chairs, hammocks, cooler, towels, outdoor shower, floating devices and more. Small pool under construction, coming soon.

We live between the big island and Vieques, if you need any assistance, and we are out of Vieques, we have an excellent team working with us and for you. Just contact us!

Access to the property:
The door has a smart lock, we will send you the security code and the walking gate will be open. You will have the keys of front and back doors and vehicle gate.

This is a family neighborhood, safe and quiet. Surrounded by families, some hens and roosters in the area, and wild horses hanging around. Completely fenced lot. Feel like home and enjoy the best vacation in Vieques. Do you need some supplies? just a few minutes away, you have a convenience store and a bakery.

You will find public transportation (No Uber service at this moment), but if you want someone we trust we can refer you the best one. If you want to rent a car you will find some local car rental companies and the only international rental car is AVIS. Also you can rent a golf cart, super fun and you can use it around the whole island! If you want a scooter you can rent one in the same street.

Just one block away from the Blok hotel, restaurants, Esperanza beach, bars and tours companies. If you walk a few minutes you will find a bakery and grocery store.

Sun Bay National Park = 13 minutes walking, 3 minutes in car
Sun Bay Beach = 5 minutes in car
Playa negra = 9 minutes in car
Playa Grande and Fortin Conde Mirasol= 13 minutes in car
Playa Caracas = 14 minutes in car
Parque de la Ceiba = 16 minutes in car
Rompe Olas = 18 minutes in car

The ferry capacity varies per vessel, and they sell online only 30% of the tickets. Make sure you make the arrangements with time. If you want to fly, you can do it from Ceiba (cheaper), San Juan, or Isla Grande.

A few guests asked about Friendly, the friendly neighborhood cat. We think in her best interest, we participated in a trap, neuter, and return program... but the return part never arrived; that part of the program went "wrong." She is living now with my neighbors on the big island! LOL

No paper towels provided, sorry. Due to several incidents with paper towels in the sewered drainage, no matter how much toilet paper we provide, and after a few thousand in repairs, we made the decision to remove the paper towels from the drainage. You will have available microfiber towels.

Polaroid stand - only for digital pictures. Just scan the QR code, free of charge!

A/C mini-split units are equipped with a protective feature that shuts off if doors or bathroom windows are left open to prevent damage. If you have this situation, just close the door or the only window without a plastic screen located in the bathroom.

A washer and dryer are available for use and free of charge. Just bring your own laundry detergent.

PLEASE: Do not flush anything down the toilet except biological disposal. No paper, no hygiene items, no wet towels, no intimate protection, no diapers. Thanks for your help with this!
