About Patrice Piquard
We are a couple of journalists living in Paris, and this is our small home away from home. We come to St Barth two or three times a year in order to rest, scuba dive and meet our friends on the island.
Patrice Piquard purchased this Apartment in 2003
Why Patrice Piquard chose Le Palidor
For us, Saint Barth is the closest place from paradise.
What makes this Apartment unique
We do love our apartment which is like a small penthouse located at the top of the condo. The view is just incredible, and you see it even when lying on the bed. The location, far from the main road, but on a 3 minutes drive from the shops and restaurants of Gustavia or from St Jean and Flamand beaches, is very convenient. We also are pleased with the way we furnished and decorated the flat in order to make it a relaxing place. Some of our customers like it too, and they come back year after year.
Fantastic flat in Anse Des Cayes
Amazing view and great location on the island. Only a few minutes to Gustavia or St Jean. The Propery Manager (Valérie) is fantastic and went out of her way to help us when we were in a jam. She also met us at the ferry when we arrived and showed us to the flat. The daily maid service was awesome, we had fresh beach towels every day. We would definitely stay here again.
Amazing views and great location!
I had a wonderful stay and I was well taken care of by Valerie (the concierge) and Julie (the housekeeper)! I just loved spending time on the balcony looking at the view and hearing the crash of the waves below. The owner Patrice was also great at communication and giving me excellent tips about places to go while there.
My only big problem with the property was entering and exiting the steep, narrow, blind driveway! There are no signs or mirrors that show incoming/outgoing cars! I was always terrified of the possibility of a head-on collision! The parking spot for 42 was also too narrow and so I parked mostly in the Visit space instead to avoid getting my car scratched or dinged!
Other than that, it is a very comfortable and stylish condo with spectacular views and the location is quite convenient to Gustavia and the airport!
The mirrors at the exit of the property have been taken away by hurricane Irma. Every owner know that it is not convenient to take to the road with very little visibility, and the property managers will replace these mirrors as soon as it is possible to find this item in St Barth or St Martin. So far, our order for these mirrors has not arrived yet. As for the 42 parking spot, it is the first time it seems to small for a guest. Unless you drive a very big car, there is enough space to park easily.
Perfect get away
This was our second stay here. We love it, perfect location, well appointed. Has everything we need for the perfect get away. We will definitely be back here, thank-you Patrice
Very clean, nicely appointed, and a great location
This property is ideal for 2 people. Very clean and nicely appointed. It is in a great location---great views of the ocean, centrally located, close to St. Jean and Gustavia. It is a great find. The only problem we had was the water pressure. There were days that the water dribbled out of the facets. Other than that, a great find! Frederick T. Martens
If water pressure was sometimes weak during your stay, it had nothing to do with the flat or the property. It can happen that work on the pipes of the Water Network affects the pressure for a few hours. The same is valid for the WiFi network (cut sometimes for an hour or two), and even for electricity in case of a storm. Although it is the best managed island in the West Indies, St Barth does not have infrastructures on par with those of the big cities in Europe or the US.
Wonderful view, comfortable place, everything you need
I received a helpful set of instructions as soon as I booked. Upon arrival at the airport, I was greeted by the property's helpful and cheerful manager, who led me to the villa and showed me around. The view from this apartment is beautiful and the location is convenient to all of the places you would want to go on this lovely island. The description of the property is incorrect in two ways: there is air conditioning in the main room and it is very comfortable. Also there is Wi-Fi which worked very well. For those who might be concerned about mosquitoes I can say that I never saw a single one and never was bitten. I recommend a car rental. But if you aren't used to island driving you might find the traffic to be a little bit aggressive. Anyway, I highly recommend this studio and I am definitely going to return.
Divine, sophisticated, convenient..:-)
Ultra private patio, amazing view, classy sophisticated decor. There is a soulful CD, DVD and book collection. This is one of the best geographical spots on the island...almost zero wind...my favorite snorkeling on the other side of the island had consistent near gale force winds all day, every day...but not here..:-) The maid service is thorough and non intrusive. The property manager is professional, warm and greeted us at the boat dock and bought us to the home...actually came back the next morning to take us to the rental car agency...MUST get a car on this island. I can't wait to come back...
