The bears love the side yard as their playground, but always enjoy from a distance. They are very curious and still wild animals. Please always LOCK your car doors as they can open them. Thank you for sending us your concerns. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about the repairs needed. In response to your review, the DVD player has been replaced. The deck painting has been ordered by the owner. We will let him know about the living room furniture for replacement or repair. The shower in the master bath is actually bigger than the hall bath, but because it is a one piece fiberglass shower and the hall bath is tile, it seems smaller. The owner has plans to remodel the master bath. The soft spots in the living room are from the laminate floor buckling in that one spot and is totally safe. The sub floor is solid. The information notebooks are being removed and are being replaced by an on-line digital guide specifically for the cabin you have reserved, plus area information. You should have received that link in your email or text prior to your arrival. Again, thanks for the information and we are happy to hear you had a relaxing stay. Yes Trevor, we love Bella Vista, it is a great place to have a relaxing time in the mountains while still enjoying what the city has to offer. We always advise guests to not leave food in their car, as bears love to try and get to it. Hopefully we will see you on your next visit to the smokies!

Kathleen, thank you so much for the detailed review. The information you passed along is greatly appreciated. The maintenance and housekeeping issues you mentioned have all been addressed and we regret any inconvenience you may have experienced. All of our cabins are on a regular monthly extermination schedule and the tech had been in the house just 4 days prior to your stay. The gap in the doors you mentioned was identified and we believe you are correct in thinking insects are getting through that hole. We are looking into how to make that repair. The homeowner has plans to put down new carpet in the bedrooms and remodel the bathroom off the King bedroom. Covid and issues with the supply chain have complicated that job. However, we are hoping that can be accomplished within the next year. We are glad y ou got to see our furry neighbors and hope you will return to the mountains soon.
