Idyllic Smoky Mountain Getaway!

Our stay at “High Expectations” could not have been more wonderful! The cabin, itself, is a work of art—gorgeous construction, decorated with local high-quality crafts (pottery, metalwork, paintings, and more!) We felt like we were staying in a local museum! The deck views were amazing, with the chairs, porch swings, and hot tub overlooking the misty mountain scenery. We were able to enjoy these same views from indoors (the dining room table upstairs and the master bedroom downstairs). We had a few rainy evenings so it was fun to hunker down with the pool table, PAC-Man game, dart board, and board games. There is also a home theater, which we didn’t get around to using. The beds are super-comfortable and the showers, kitchen, and 2 fireplaces were so nice! Communication with our host was outstanding. This home was the perfect spot to enjoy. We felt like we were in paradise, and yet local attractions & conveniences were hardly any distance away.—the best of all worlds! We hope to return with more of our family! THANK YOU!

One of the best!

Have stayed in many, many cabins over the years, but this one definitely stood out! The owners of this cabin have thought of everything to make your stay the very best. Best Part of our 10 Day Road Trip

This cabin was everything and more! I am very particular about cleanliness. This cabin was the cleanest we stayed in on our trip. As for views…you won’t find better views. We enjoyed the game room and hot tub and mostly just was in awe of the view. This is the first rental that I actually felt like home in. I urge anyone coming to this area to check out High Expectations. You won’t be disappointed.

The pictures of this cabin doesn’t even do it justice. It is by far more amazing than pictures show. Location is perfect and so is the neighborhood. Every single detail is so well thought into making your Gatlinburg experience one to remember. We will definitely be going back soon.

Perfection!

Absolutely beautiful cabin with stunning views! Very clean and comfortable, well appointed, and wonderful communication with the owner. Location is perfect, as it's close to downtown Gatlinburg but far enough away to enjoy quiet solitude. We can't waitto return!

Absolutely amazing cabin

This cabin has it all. Beautiful amazing view of the mountains. The cabin is well stocked with more than enough for 3-4 days of essentials. The decor and accommodations are wonderful. I have been coming to Gatlinburg for many years - this cabin tops them all. Most enjoyable cabin ever!

High Expectations - Loved It!!

We recently stayed at High Expectations and this house fulfilled its name! Everything at this house was comfortable, beautiful, and perfect for our group of two couples. This was our first time to the Gatlinburg area and the autumn leaves were beautiful. The home itself is nestled in a mountainside. It has two master suites on each floor which was perfect. We had a wonderful time looking at the views from the wonderful porches, our husbands had a great time playing pool, and it was a perfect house for relaxing and spending time together with our friends. Our host Jeanette contacted us to make sure that everything was going well. We loved the seclusion of the cabin, but it was still close enough for us to go out to eat meals and to enjoy the nearby towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We even saw a bear going down the mountain on two of the days that we were there! All in all, it was an amazing trip at an amazing house. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you, Jeanette for sharing your wonderful home!😊

High Expectations met!

Beautiful cabin and view. We really enjoyed our stay and even got to watch a bear from the deck as he played around in the backyard 😀. Owners were easy to reach with any questions. Again, great time.

Perfect

The cabin was a wonderful place to relax and spend time with family. You really don’t have to drive miles to see the gorgeous mountain views of Gatlinburg because it’s right in front of your eyes. We enjoyed watching playful bears as we drove to our cabin which was a treat to us. The cabin was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. We would love to come again.

Amazing views

High Expectations has such amazing views and has everything we wanted. It’s in a peaceful and quiet setting but still close to shopping and downtown Gatlinburg. The hosts were so thoughtful and left us flowers for our anniversary that we celebrated while here. We highly recommend this cabin!

Welcome to our cabin- High Expectations. We are happy to be able to share our personal getaway with all our guests. We are committed owners and for us, every detail, maintenance, and general care of our property is top priority.
We travel frequently from our home to visit the beauty and tranquility of our cabin backyard- the Smoky Mountains. We love to hike and immerse ourselves in the Park trails for that unique mountain experience and know that at the end of the day our restful, tranquil getaway awaits us. This is our home away from home.

My husband and I have always enjoyed the outdoors and we wanted a special place that would give us the true spirit of the Mountains- a tranquil setting that would allow us time to unwind. We found this cabin with its Spellbound Setting- nestled among the trees facing Mt. Leconte and its Mountain Ranges. We have visited many National parks and we have never seen views where the Mountains were literally at your doorstep! But the beauty of it all is that it is also conveniently located near all the attractions of a tourist destination like Gatlinburg and only a few minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park. We feel so lucky to have found our little piece of heaven- we know you will find it memorable too.

Incredible views and the perfect location- away from it all and yet within 5-6 miles to all the area attractions- you get the best of both worlds. This combination of convenience to area attractions, easy access and breathtaking scenery is a rare find and one of the unique benefits of High Expectations!
This location is a great launching point to nearby area attractions such as Dollywood and Pigeon Forge, the Golf Course, White Water Rafting, Zip Lining, the National Park, and the city of Gatlinburg making this a Great Getaway for families and/or couples. The cabin is easily accessible with level parking which is very hard to find in many of these mountain cabins. Within two steps you are on the main floor of the cabin and so, it is very convenient for Grandparents or small children.
As fellow Vacation Rental travelers, we understand the importance of a home away from home. We have taken every opportunity to add not only comfortable furnishings but all the small touches that makes your stay impressively comfortable- well stocked kitchen (yes including good knives), plenty of hooks to hang towels and clothes, unique decor that creates a rustic mountain ambiance, comfy throws, ironing boards, hair dryers and the list goes on!
We are confident you will find this to be one of a kind mountain experience!
