Cool off by either taking a dip in the river, relaxing on a float or kayaking one-mile down the Guadalupe River to the dam. Experience the crystal-clear water under the enormous cypress trees and fish the deeper pools along the way. From the dam, you can either work your way back in the river or arrange for a quick shuttle back to the house. There are floats, tubes and kayaks available to you on the property. For the less adventurous, just relax under the cypress trees by the huge pond next to the house and watch the kiddos fish. (Bring your fishing tackle along- catch & release, please) In the evenings watch the deer and occasional turkeys wondering around the property as the stars fill the sky above. The river is located at the bottom of the rock driveway to the right of the pond. You can walk down to the river or if you prefer to drive, we recommend having a 4X4 SUV or truck.
