We loved this place. It was pretty, very clean, quiet, and SO convenient for all we wanted to see. I will recommend it to all my friends. Thank you for a wonderful visit. Also, the Housekeeper that greeted us on arrival was kind and helpful. P.S. We parked our rental car at Metro Pkg on Hollis...reasonable & safe.

Location was absolutely perfect for us. The lack of AC was not an issue for us, between the big windows and the fans we were fine. The place itself is clean and really cute! We loved our stay!
Location was great. 15 minute walk to the beginning of the pier and boardwalk. 10 minutes to a grocery and liquor store. Local indian food was excellent. The apartment was nice in an old Victorian style house. King bed was comfy as was the couch (not pull out). Host was responsive while we were there. They offer very basic amenities such as old cutlery, basic tools for cooking - not all you need for eating at home most of your visit. No foil or cling wrap or baggies for food storage. Pans have wobbly handles, Older stove but it works and is clean. 1 broken wine glass so we bought new ones to leave there and an ice tray we left as well. There was salt and pepper. No kleenex or facecloths, watery body wash and mishmash of shampoo, no conditioner.Lock on interior porch door was never locked.Upstairs family with young child quite noisy early in the morning.Contact with host ended the second we left. I forgot my laptop charger and tried to reach them several times within an hour of leaving and heard nothing back.Just be prepared to supply alot of your own cooking supplies and staples.
Great location. Great communication with host/manager. We were able to extend the stay and the process was easy. If you are looking to be close to downtown Halifax and easy walking to downtown this is the place to be.

The place was completely filled with a perfumey fragrance that was unbelievably strong. I am not keen on fragrance usually but tolerate it okay when I encounter it - but this was so overpowering that my throat was burning and my kid was sneezing within 15 minutes. They showed me to another property that also had a similar but less overwhelming scent. Ended up getting a traditional hotel and wasted two hours while hungry and exhausted
The place is clean, but outdated. It needs to be remodeled.

The parking situation is confusing as it is described. The parking is on the property just behind the building and is paid parking. When I sent a message to the host to clarify it took them an hour to give me a response that included an incorrect street name. When I arrived I couldn't find the parking (the listing makes it sound like there is a parking lot with a spot). I contracted again to ask clarifying questions and they responded and hour late with the same copy pasted message. They don't answer the phone either. I only got a hold of someone 3 hours later when I called VRBO. They were still unable to help me understand because the representative had never physically been to the property. If you are looking for good customer service don't book with sweet digs.
I was hesitant to book this place because the listing seemed incomplete. However, everything ended up being fine. The place was comfortable and clean. The flat is in a very old building which comes with some realities like old bathroom fixtures and drafty windows. On the flip side, it is charming and the location was great for walking to local restaurants and sites.
This was a comfy and conveniently located place to stay for my conference trip with a kid in tow. We enjoyed being close to the grocery store and train station etc. It was definitely hot inside, especially at night - fans helped some but that's just the nature of old building with no AC. Would absolutely stay again!
