Cute place! It was comfortable, clean and had all the little things we need. Close to great trail systems, a perfect little library and far enough from the big city to be quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

Lawrence was fantastically easy with whom to communicate. The house is perfectly located, and is charming; very comfortable. Loved having both a fire pit and indoor fireplace. Every detail was considered for ease of stay. We will definitely be back!

This was the perfect VRBO for our family of 6. The location and the home were perfectly quaint and peaceful. You did not feel like you were invading someone else's private space, yet it felt very "homey". We will be staying there again!!!

This was our best experience ever with a VRBO stay. The host and the local contact were very responsive and accommodating and the home was perfect in every way. The view from the front and back porches was so beautiful and we enjoyed being back in Damascus where my mom grew up. Thanks to all!

FAB stay at Happy Trails cottage. Prime in-town location for the Appalachian Trail Days festival. Excellent and timely communication from host. Comfortable and well appointed property. Wonderful outdoor space front and back along with ample parking. Would definitely stay again!

Happy Trails Cottage is a lovely property! The location can't be beat which makes it easy to access the AT, Creeper Trail and all restaurants/shops downtown. The house is well stocked and very comfortable. Especially loved the screened and front porches! Owner was friendly and considerate and communication was prompt. Would definitely book again!PS: The library (and library staff) next door are worth a visit.

Excellent location and well-maintained property. Outstanding location for those wanting to day-hike the creeper and Appalachian trail. The kitchen is well-stocked and the house was well-cleaned. Would most definitely stay there again.

Fall is the best time of year to visit Damascus. Happy Trails Cottage is well located for hiking the AT or hiking/biking/horseback riding the Virginia Creeper Trail!

We had a wonderful stay at Happy Trails Cottage! The location is perfect—close to everything you need, with plenty of outdoor activities and beautiful scenery right nearby.We were in the area to attend a wedding and discovered just how beautiful Damascus and this part of Virginia truly are. It was an area we had never visited before, and we were pleasantly surprised by everything it has to offer.The cottage itself is beautiful, comfortable, and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals during our stay. Our host, Russell, was attentive, responsive, and readily available if we needed anything.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Happy Trails Cottage to anyone visiting the Damascus area. We just upgraded the entertainment viewing experience with a 65 inch LED smart TV with console table. Also, we have added a pet dining service with two stainless steel bowls, so pet owners have one less item to bring.

We loved our stay in Damascus. This house is beautiful and right on the Creeper trail. The bike rack outside was greatly appreciated and the playground across the street was a big hit.
