Adorable Cottage on the Edge of the National Forest and Trails and Walk to Town

This adorable cottage sits at the edge of the Delaware National Forest and numerous hiking trails. It is walking distance to the Sawkill swimming hole, shops, restaurants and events in Milford as well as the Delaware River via the famous Blue Bridge. It is a spacious home for a family to relax and enjoy both the quiet and beautiful forest and the town of Milford. For more information about Milford please email me so I can send you my guidebook.
The home features a living room with beautiful stone fireplace, full kitchen with all you would want including baking dishes, juicers, blenders, etc. All the bedrooms have comfy beds and TVs, the master has a king, the second bedroom has two queens and the third has 3 twins. The office workspace also has 2 twin beds, a TV and can be used as a game room. There is an outdoor patio with fire pit and grill as well as an enclosed porch. The kitchen is large enough to eat in and there is a formal dining room. There is an upper landing as an additional sitting area, and high speed internet throughout. This is a special home where you can be in nature, at the edge of the National Forest and listen to the sounds of the Sawkill Creek and yet walk into town to eat, shop, etc. It is less than .5 miles to Log Tavern Brewery and La Posada.

Wonderful house near Delaware Water Gap

Five friends from college stayed in this charming house for a long weekend getaway. There was more than enough room, the house was clean, and we had no trouble accessing the house when we arrived. The location was fantastic. It’s a short walk down the old road in front of the house into Milford where there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and even a tasting room for a local winery. It is also practically adjacent to the Delaware Water Gap. There is a trailhead right down the road that takes you to an overlook above the town. Highly recommend.

Amazing beauty

This House Goes to 11

Ignoring the beautiful country setting, disregarding the immaculately maintained arts and crafts house, overlooking the large, welcoming comfortable rooms, well-appointed kitchen, and pristine bathrooms, the warmth and charm of this Vrbo offers an experience worth repeating. Then, there is Milford: great shopping, art, a wide variety of restaurants, music on the green, recreation, and other fun areas to explore. What makes it so perfect is the warmth and kindness of the local folk I met in a variety of settings. I sincerely told my husband, “I want this house!” So, we’ll be back.

Milford Vacation

Four family members stayed to visit Milford where we used to visit on Grandmother and vacation more than sixty years ago. The home was perfect!! .... the location, the cleanliness, amenities, etc., made our visit and added to our memories. I would highly recommend this home and a visit to the surrounding area !!

Spacious, comfortable, clean and great location

We were a group of 8 women. We all had plenty of room. Beds were very comfortable, a/c worked well, lovely clean bathrooms and kitchen. Every room is spacious plus so much room outside and on the porch. We loved walking to town and being in the woods. Minor questions and concerns addressed quickly by homeowner. Would love to stay again!

Pictures don’t do it justice!

Stayed with toddlers and babies! Perfect! Great location, wonderful outdoor space, and bedrooms are perfect if you have kids! The pictures don’t capture how comfortable the home is, how lovely the outside space is, and the perfect location. Walkable to town, a nature trail and the blue bridge.

Just the BEST!

This property was on a dead end road which made your stay feel even more private. The communication with the host was timely with responses. We notified the host our first morning the coffer maker had a crack in the carafe. The host responded with a replacement coffee maker and coffee within a few hours with a beautiful arrangement of flowers for the inconvience. This was above and beyond and we really appreciated it. The home was very spacious, love the screen porch. Close to everything. Highly recommend you stay in this oversized cottage next time your in the area.

Would Have Stayed Longer

Went with my mother, sister, and two young nieces for a long weekend to visit the cemetery and the surrounding areas where our relatives used to live. I do not think that we could have picked a better location to stay. The location was the very definition of "Almost completely secluded while being right outside of town." It sounds cliché, I know, but we all thought while there that the pictures did not do the place justice. It was very open and spacious, our group never felt like we were tripping over each other. Our schedule was packed enough so we did not have the time to experience all the house had to offer, but the consensus was it would have been nice to have planned extra days to relax at the property especially because the outdoors of the property was so peaceful and well-maintained. The house rules were very clear and that made check-out a breeze; the host was very responsive to the few questions I had. Would not hesitate to return!
