The location is great being central to state street and the ocean. It was very quiet and although we were there during a heat wave the cross breeze and provided fans cooled the place off well. It is very comfortable with a separate bedroom and a fully stocked small kitchen. It’s not fancy but practical and well worth the price.

Sally, perfect. Thank you. After the remodel in September, we will be installing AC. I know it was unusually hot when you were there. It will be a lot different in a couple of months with new improvments. Thank you again. We apreciate it.

Had a wonderful weekend stay. Amazing location… we could walk literally everywhere: the beach, downtown, etc. I would love to stay here again. Had everything we needed, comfortable bed, living room with tv, full kitchen. Wish we could’ve stayed longer! It was very easy to communicate with the host as well.

Thank you Kayla. I appreciate it. I also appreciate some of your other comments and feedback you offered me privately. I appreciate it. I will be getting new doors and bathroom will be remodeled as well. Also, thank you for the comment on the bird poop that needed to be cleaned up. I will let the cleaners know. You are always welcome back. Thank you again. Jeff

The place was very clean. The kitchen was well-equipped. The rooftop deck has a fire pit and comfortable chairs. The bed was comfortable. The best aspect of the property is the location. It is less than a five minute walk to the beach.

Jeff is an attentive host with quick response time to questions. The neighborhood is gorgeous! We felt safe and were a block away from the beach, shopping, Stearn wharf, and endless yummy food and bars. The accommodations are cozy, clean, and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We didn’t hear people in the other units which made feel very private. A perfect place to enjoy the chill vibe of SB and be close to everything fun when you want it.

We loved the location and the charm of the neighborhood. The unit was as described. It is being upgraded in 2026 which some items needed, but it did not take away from our enjoyment of the place. We are booking again for all 3 units. That is how much we loved our stay.

Susan, it was a pleasure to have you and your family. I am thrilled everything could work out. I am sorry about the little hassle of the mainentance guy accidentally unplugging the hot water heater and I appreciate your grace. I am glad we could get it fixed right away. Also, I look forward to having your family back next year and renting the entire property. Stay young and active. It is the best alternative. Blessings to you and your family.

This is a good place to stay in Santa Barbara if you go in eyes open. The location is fantastic, just a short walk (less than two blocks) from both the beach and from State St, a charming main drag with restaurants, bars, shops and ice cream. The living room couch was comfortable and the skylight made it feel bright despite being a back unit. There's also a shared rooftop space that's large and comfortable, we sat up there every night. However, in its current state, the apartment (unit 2) had some issues. The mattress on the bed is old and saggy. The pillows are very old and flat. The bathroom is small, the shower is horrible, tiny and cramped with a low protruding showerhead (especially tough for anyone over 5'11"). Things were inconsistently stocked, e.g. no hand soap in the bathroom, one hand towel for a four day stay. Multiple lightbulbs were out. There's a new Nespresso machine but it uses the newer Vertuo style pods that they don't sell anywhere locally. The apartment doesn't have air conditioning of any kind, just a couple of fans. The host was upfront that he's a new owner and is aware of the need to improve things, which he's planning to do, so this review may be fully obsolete at some point.

Jeff is an incredible host and this property was exactly what my husband and I were looking for.#1. Location location location. Walking distance to everything. Coffee, the pier, restaurant galore, wine tasting, bike rental, museums. This is the 1 bed 1 bath place.#2. The property. That bed is so comfy, great job Jeff. It has that authenticity of old meets new. Yes, the shower is small but the bath had everything one needs. Forget your blowdryer ladies. #3. It’s a great value, if you can look past the minor issues of the 1 person at a time in the shower, the rooftop not with the furniture as shown but still a great place to enjoy morning coffee, and the older couch. Trust me 10 out of 10 choice of gorgeous.

Jeannie, I apologize about the pictures on the roof top deck not exactly reflecitve of the actual furniture. I just ordered top of the line furniture with a fireplace, huge umbrella, and swivel chairs, couch ect. It will be really nice. Thankyou for your nice comments. Please consider us in the future. I will make sure you get a returning discount. Have a great summer. Respectfully, Jeff.

We are residents of Santa Barbara, having moved from the Sacramento area and Canada to here in 2008. We formerly occupied the front main unit of this beautiful tri-plex by the beach and oversee the property ourselves.

Our rooftop is a beautiful, demonstration aeroponic, soil-less vertical farm which is available to our guests for lounging, dining and just enjoying!

Health-conscious and fitness-oriented, our family enjoys beach volleyball, bicycling and running right here in West Beach with its nearby amenities. We also are pioneering a soil-less, vertical aeroponic Tower Garden farm on our rooftop.

We love sharing our love of this ideal neighborhood with our guests.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

West Beach is THE place to stay in Santa Barbara for both beach and downtown access. Very few properties become available here, and certainly none with the amenities we offer for the reasonable price we offer!

この宿泊施設の特徴

The historic building and charming unit are unique in Santa Barbara . The privacy offered by the backyard patio by Mission Creek is special. The access to everything Santa Barbara has to offer is amazing and our rooftop farm is supremely unique and special.
Lastly, getting individual attention from the property owners/managers, Janis & Joy will make your stay memorable.
