Enjoy the outdoors with friends & family on the back deck equipped with a black stone for cooking & a stone hearth that is perfect for cozy evenings by a crackling fire. The newly renovated & thoughtfully furnished living space invites you to gather for meals in the snug breakfast nook, put your favorite show or movie on in the living room, enjoy ample natural light for reading in the sunroom, or decompress in the privacy of each bedroom designed with quality & comfort in mind.
The kitchen is fully equipped from dishwear and utensils to a coffee maker, making it ideal for shorter or longer stays. This cottage is perfect for those wanting a cozy hillside getaway without missing any of the convenience of downtown. Please note: this is an 1800’s historical cottage that backs to the woods . Although we take regular preventative measures the occasional bug or house mouse may find their way in. To minimize this- limit open doors and windows & properly store food.

Our best ever VRBO property. Everything exceeded our every expectation. The hosts could not have been more helpful. Excellent location near family. Immaculate. Everything we needed and more. Bed in master bedroom was super comfortable and soothing after long days of playing with grandchildren and doing odd jobs around their house. All VRBO property owners should book a stay at this "Cottage" to see how it should be done.

WVU visit

Had a great stay with our 2 kids to attend WVU accepted students day. House was cozy and comfortable, very clean and well appointed. There is only street parking but there was always plenty of space. The neighbors were friendly and welcoming, making for a great stay. 2-5 min drive to all parts of campus. My daughter decided to attend WVU so we will hopefully be back to the cottage for a football weekend!

Cozy, clean cottage. Well-appointed and tastefully decorated. Just right for our family of four for the weekend visiting with friends. It rained much of the time we were there. We enjoyed working on a puzzle and spying the family of hedgehogs that live under the shed. While every need was provided for, I specifically want to thank Hadley for having a full length mirror in the main bedroom. We find this is often missing from most vacation rentals. Parking is on the street but we never had a problem finding a spot when we returned, even late at night. Would definitely return!

My husband & I love opening the cottage for guests to make memories in. After pouring ourselves into renovations it is beyond rewarding to hear stories of what guests enjoyed during their stay. Some of our favorites include a proposal on the porch , friendsgivings, & of course football games!

Chancery Hill is a historical neighborhood amongst the rolling hills of Morgantown. If you get the chance to walk or drive around you will see the charm in every house you pass.
