Great home in a great location. Fabulous yard - the hot tub made it extra special. The house was spacious and comfortable for 3 couples. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice house!

My husband and I had a great short weekend here. House was very clean and the location was great. Easy to get to Woodstock and downtown Saugerties. We didn't use much in the house but would stay here again if we needed to be in the area!

Great spot, stylish renovation

The property matched the description to a “T”. This is a lovely, quiet spot that is close to both Saugerties and Woodstock, each a fun town to discover. Also close to Levon Helm’s Barn, if you want to catch some live music in an intimate setting. The home looks newly renovated and attention was paid to the details: this classic 60’s(?) home keeps the original styling intact. Open floor plan, lots of really nice wood to soften things, newly outfitted bathrooms, etc. A special shout-out to an oft-forgotten corner of the master bath: most remodels would cut some corners but the attention to detail spoke volumes when I noticed and appreciated the bathroom sink cabinet (OK, I was a custom home builder): the design, the hardware, the gorgeous wood, the finish. This ain’t no IKEA remodel! The grounds are also pretty, well-kept and look very pet-friendly. I appreciated the opportunity to re-charge my truck too, with the new 220 outlet in the garage. Well-done, folks! We’ll be back!

Wow! Thank you so, so much for the positive feedback. The primary bath was just remodeled & I am really pleased with how it turned out. I do all the design myself. So it means a lot to me when folks notice the attention to detail. I wanted to honor the home's heritage. You are welcome back at any time!

Beautiful house with everything we needed!

We had a great week at the Catskills Retro Retreat. The house was just beautiful, the renovation was impressive! Beautiful fittings and furniture and I especially loved the pottery too! The beds and couch were very comfortable, and road noise wasn't an issue at all. We have stayed at houses on other roads further south in the HV and they were noisy. Even the primary bedroom suite (on the road side of the house) was quiet because of the good windows. The road isn't very busy at all and we were there during peak summer, including the weekend. The owners have many books and cookbooks about the Catskills and guides for food, hiking and walks and they were really helpful to us as we were new to the area. Saugerties is an amazing village and we loved it! We hope to move there next year if we can find a house. The amenities were perfect and everything is well organized and clean. The fenced yard and dog run are the best we've ever had in a vacation rental. Really safe for even small pups, no gaps. We saw lots of birds, frogs, toads, and even some deer on the property. We'll definitely be back... we'll make this our base for house-hunting in the area for sure!
