The house is stunning. They place is very wellll cared for and clean. The host Tristen deserves an award for being so quick to respond to my questions before and after check in and being a very caring host. Theres literally NOTHING to complain about. I cant wait to book this place again next year. Truly.

Can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The house is gorgeous - beautifully decorated, super comfortable (bathrooms for each bedroom!), and well designed for a crowd (hello, giant refrigerator and double washer/dryers!). Tristan was super communicative and sweet. The lake is a dream. And if you ever want to peel yourself away from the water, there's good food and attractions nearby (Fonta Flora Brewery, Countryside BBQ, and the town of Morganton are favorites of ours). We can't wait to come back!

I of one of our 14 family members wanted to kayak the lake. It was easygoing to launch off the dock and though we were there for a wedding, it wasn’t as planned at the top of the mountain where Wiseman View overlooking the gorgeous mountains had our day scheduled all messed up. Due to the hurricane, our outside activity was impossible. But the cabin had plenty of entertainment to offer us and our youngest 10 year old to keep us occupied until the wedding ceremony took place on the other side of Lake James. We were also kept informed by the owners of what we needed to know with the weather forecast being warnings going on and their concerns about our safety. We communicated through texts and emails and we deeply appreciated their hospitality in all ways. I’d recommend everyone that loves the lake and waterfalls and trails as well as antiques… this place is your go to place for sure. And it is very nice with showers in every room as well as some bathtubs. Comfortable beds, larger than life tv’s and a fireplace. Only thing we lacked was a hot tub.

This property is beautiful! Our family enjoyed being able to ski, wakeboard, and tube near the dock and into the rest of the lake. The kids loved the floating foam pad. We enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks too! Dinner on the deck with that amazing view was a great way to wind down in the evening. The kids enjoy the variety of toys and the grown ups enjoyed ping pong in the evening. Kristen, our host, was so attentive!

The house is beautiful and clean and fully equipped and completely kid-friendly. Each bedroom has its own bathroom! The lake is so easy to get to - I think one of the easiest of all the houses around there. Plenty of kayaks to use and we enjoyed them! We absolutely loved our stay there and hope to return!

Perfect lake getaway

We stayed for thanksgiving with family and friends. The home was in perfect condition with a well equipped kitchen. Wouldn’t change a thing!

Amazing Stay

The home is as beautiful and as comfortable as the photos suggest. We thoroughly enjoyed the enormous covered back deck where we ate our meals and relaxed around the gas fire pit. The access to the lake is very easy and the dock is large and accommodated our boat nicely. The kitchen is extremely well stocked (one of the nicest kitchens I've cooked in) with a large refrigerator that made grocery trips less frequent for our large group. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms were well appointed. We were traveling with teenagers who enjoyed the game room. The house is also very well suited for younger children. We look forward to returning soon!

Just what we were looking for!

Our family had a fine time at this lakehouse. Communication with the host was easy. The little ones really enjoyed the play space inside and the lake. We prepared our meals in a very well-appointed kitchen and dined both inside and out on the porch. The tap water is filtered, so no need to bring in water bottles. Everyone enjoyed the lake and paddleboards. We found the beds to be comfortable and the atmosphere relaxing. We hope to return.

Beautiful home! They thought of everything for a fun and comfortable stay. The play room is huge and full of organized toys, books, puzzles, riding horse, etc. Big screen TV. Another large room with pool and ping ball tables. Putting green, dart board and free weights for the adults. There are lots of lake toys. Inside and outside safety gates installed at the stairs for the little ones. The kitchen has everything you need with upscale appliances and two dishwashers. Highly recommend cooking and grilling your own food. The downtown area does not offer great quality restaurant options. Backyard and deck fire pits. We will definitely return!

Ideal Family Vacation Home!

This home is the perfect vacation home for a family. The owners have thought of everything! We had 6 adults and 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 3-10, and there was something for everyone. The downstairs has toys for all of the kids to keep them entertained when not on the lake, and there is also a pool table and ping pong table. The kitchen is large with two dishwashers, double refrigerator /freezer, and is well equipped for all of your cooking needs. the laundry room has two washing machines and two dryers. Outside, there is a fleet of kayaks, two very nice paddle boards, 20-foot floating pad, large deck with plenty of seating. We brought our own boat, and the boat ramp was a 10-minute drive from the house. There is a Dollar General store about 3 miles away, and there is also a Dollar General Grocery store a mile past the Dollar General store. The grocery store has all of the items you would expect from any grocery store, just limited varieties. If you want to go to a larger grocery store, there is an Ingles located in Marion, about a 15-minute drive. Our host, Kim, was a pleasure to work with and was very responsive. We are already planning our next trip to stay at this home! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is a beautiful home on the lake. The pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is very nice with two dishwashers. We had a couple of hot days and the a/c worked great. It kept us cool the whole time. Lots of lake toys to use. My grandkids and myself had a blast on the ping pong table. Enjoyed the concrete walkway down to the lake. Very nice dock with swim platform. We had a wonderful stay and will be back in future. Thanks for a very nice stay. Nick
