Plenty of Bluegills & Crappies to cast a line for. There is a state fish hatchery 4 miles down the road. Tours of the chain of lakes on the Chief Waupaca. Take a drive thru the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King or spend the day at Strawberry fest in downtown Waupaca. We are located in some of the best deer hunting in the state. Our house has brand new appliances including washer and dryer and WiFi. A canoe and paddle boat are included along with a gas fire pit and a wood fire pit for your relaxation.

Lovely place to stay! Relaxing, enjoyed listening to the songbirds, fishing in the lake (caught bluegill, largemouth bass & pike) and the canoe and paddle boat were a great distraction for our boys. This is a very pleasant and peaceful oasis.

Things not mentioned in other reviews - the deck is screened in, there are only a few stairs in and out, the floor is mostly non-rugged for those with mobility issues, and the water pressure comes and goes as the water goes through a filter. You can back in right up to the door, with a turn-around drive to make it easier. A wonderful, quiet weekend, even though you are close to the highway.

The house was clean and freshly updated with flooring, appliances, and fixtures. Plenty of room and everything was ready or many activities. Good proximity to the Waupaca chain of Lakes.

Peaceful stay

The house was very clean and directions very clear. I needed to contact the owner regarding the Wi-Fi password and he was very prompt and his response and was extremely helpful.

Great property

We had a great time with so many things to enjoy on the property. We had a question about a boat landing and the owners got back to us right away. Next time we'll take in the water skiing show that is in king about 10 mins away. The place is much bigger than you expect and the views are amazing we'll definitely be back.

What a beautiful setting for a stay by a crystal clear lake! You can tell the owners take great pride in the place. They have planted lots of flowers and the trees are much more full grown then in the photo. Firepit. A couple sets of Adirondack chairs spot the hillside. Inside was spacious and clean and modern. Will stay here again! Visited mid-August, 2025.

Wonderful Weekend!

We had an amazing time. The space was a lot larger than we anticipated and that was very nice. It is very comfortable and has everything for a rural getaway. The space was very clean and the pictures don't do it justice. We will be back!

Very nice!

Clean, comfortable, peaceful and relaxing. Boys enjoyed very much. Had cousins and their families over for an evening in the yard, grilled, bonfire, screened porch and everyone enjoyed the setting and atmosphere very much.

Very nice home with two separate bedrooms including a bathroom each, like California split, a super comfortable futon, and a roll out bed. Nice dining room table for eating and playing cards and games. Large refrigerator and everything you need is in the kitchen.Washer and dryer with soap provided. All the linens and towels were pristine and everything was very clean. Great screened in porch, nice comfy furniture, lots of room everywhere. We will definitely go back!

Very clean, ample options to enjoy the outdoors with camp chairs, Adirondack chairs, fire pit, and screened porch. The house, including the kitchen, was well stocked - we certainly appreciate having coffee and filters in addition to the coffee maker! Host was very responsive and provided great restaurant recommendations as well as things to do. We weren’t aware of the historic Rural village but were glad not to have missed it. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at the lake home. The property was clean and very well equipped. The kitchen included everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The paddle boat was fun, and we had good fishing right off the pier.We look forward to staying here again.
