- This is a Historic Property built around 1850 and has served many purposes from a boarding house during the Civil War. Both Lee and Grant have been in the building in addition the front brick facade suffered damage from a cannon ball hit still visible today on the bricks between the 2nd floor windows. The entrance to the apartment can be accessed from Main Street with several free parking spots at the Towns public parking across the street. As the Owners Nathan and Dianne Bozarth we are restoring this Historic Building to give the Building a 2nd life and share the History with the public. For check in the keys will be available at Poplar Hall Antiques located on the first floor.
About Nathan Bozarth
Dianne and Nathan Bozarth bought Poplar Hall in 2007 and began shortly after on the rehab. The original building was constructed around 1850 the building survived the Civil War with only a single cannon ball hit between the windows on the 2nd floor. The building has been rumored to have the honor to have both Lee and Grant visit the building.
