This home was an absolute gem—spotless, beautifully updated, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The interior is truly wonderful and exceeded our expectations.If there is one small suggestion for improvement, it would be to add a top sheet to the beds, as having only a comforter isn't always ideal in my opinion. Additionally, future guests should note that the surrounding neighborhood isn't the most desirable part of town, but once you are inside, the property itself is an absolute sanctuary.Overall, a fantastic stay and a host who clearly takes pride in the home!

This was the best overall experience with a VRBO. The host was very responsive and courteous. The absolute best check out ever. I quote,”you just need to turn off the lights and drive safely, you don’t need to do chores, you’re on vacation!!”10/10!!!

The host was great to work with. The house was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The backyard was lovely. Wish ours at home looked as nice! It was convenient to every place we wanted to visit in St Louis . . . the Arch, the Zoo, the City Museum, Union Station. I think Grant's Farm was probably the furthest away and it was only about a 25 minute drive. We all enjoyed our stay. Like so many others have said in reviews, the house is located in North St Louis in an area that is clearly in the process of revitalization. At first glance, the neighborhood might seem a little run down, but we felt totally safe the entire time we were there. It felt like we were staying in a piece of history, back in the days of the city's riverboat era. We wished we could have known more about the house's history! In spite of the age, it has been remodeled to be upscale with every modern convenience. As stated in the listing, the stairs are definitely steep, so if you have mobility issues, this is probably not the house for you. But it was definitely a lovely home and we had a great experience. We would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we visit St Louis.

The house is the perfect size for a larger group; however, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy with 2 vacant homes next to the house. Once past that, it really is a gem. Plenty of space for our family of 7

We appreciated some of the details about this property: the supplies (pots/pans, paper towels, extra dish soap, board games, fans, etc), beds (several options and space for lots of guests on separate floors), ample spaces (three floors, separate outdoor space) and overall it was clean and had what we needed. We didn’t bother the host about lacking the tamp to work the espresso machine and not being able to get the fire pit going even with the instructions because we considered those additional perks we didn’t absolutely need. The pictures and representation of the house is accurate so this is something we should have thought of and not necessarily a complaint against the host but we would have appreciated indoor seating/a table for us all to share a meal. That was provided outside and there is a breakfast bar where the kids ate, it just wasn’t ideal for us. Some cons for us included some concerns with an error code when we tried to use the dryer and some bowed flooring on the third floor and dipped ceiling on the second floor master bedroom that gave us concerns about potential structural issues from the recent renovation. Our kids loved the arcade games and the host provided extras you don’t usually get in other places which we appreciated. The stairs are definitely steep and the neighborhood is in the process of revitalization but we felt safe.

Nice property overall. The abandoned property next to it was a little sketchy at first, but in all we had privacy. Great location from main attractions
