About the property

House - 2 Master Bedrooms (1 King & 1 Queen Bed), 2.5 Baths, Sleeps 4.

Just below Heaven you will find Falcon Ridge - a smoky mountain vacation home nestled high above the treetops at 3900 feet in the heart of Maggie Valley, NC. The home is surrounded by a private wooded lot and located at the end of a long private driveway. There is a feeling of nature and tranquility in the peaceful, outdoor environment yet it’s close to all modern conveniences in Maggie Valley and surrounding areas. Get a bird's eye view of the valley below from every room in the house!

Falcon Ridge was built for the view- the incredible breath-taking views. Enter the house and you will find two master bedrooms downstairs. Both bedrooms have large sliding glass doors that take full advantage of the views. The bedroom sliders open to a private lower deck with rocking chairs and a porch swing, a great place to enjoy that morning cup of coffee. We provide you with bath towels, linens and comfortable beds for a good night sleep. There is also a full-size washer and dryer on this level. Head upstairs to the main living area and be blown away with the big, bright, light, open floor plan with views from everywhere.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils and small appliances- everything you need to prepare a wonderful meal. The home has a wood burning fireplace on the main living area and is a great place to relax, read a good book or make smores’ with the kids. The patio includes a table which is suitable for enjoying a nice meal or playing games/cards with loved ones. You can barbecue on the outdoor deck using the gas grill then relax and soak away your cares in the hot tub under the stars. We encourage you to open up the door and go for a hike around the property to enjoy all of its natural beauty. This home truly provides you with all the comforts of home.

We welcome you to our very clean, beautifully decorated SMOKE-FREE home in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, with a panoramic view of 10 surrounding mountains. You will feel like you are on top of the world.

You will have streams and waterfalls nearby; a roaring fire in the wood burning fireplace; hiking and exploring. Sound like a little bit of Heaven? We think so too - a perfect place to get away from all the stress and turmoil of our daily lives.

HOT TUB under the stars; fireworks from above, breakfast with a view; relax in the porch rockers and swing away your cares. Read a good book, take a quick hike to the nearby waterfalls, or just relax and do nothing. The wildlife and Carolina birds invite you to bring along your binoculars for up close views. Time to step back and be one with nature.

Enjoy PEACE AND QUIET with a breathtaking VIEW, but still be close enough for last minute needs only minutes away. Shop for antiques, mountain crafts and one of a kind momentous. Meet and get to know the friendly, small town residents of this quaint little mountain valley town and view the beautiful valley from above with a view to be etched in your mind forever.

Summer temperatures at the house average in the 70's, even though the town of Maggie Valley may experience temperatures in the 80's. The home does have AC however it’s rarely needed. We encourage you to open the sliders and windows and feel cool breeze and fresh air. Great cuddling temperature nights - every night.

The last stretch of road to the house is gravel and has 3 switch-backs. It can be a little spooky your first time up and down if you are not used to driving in the mountains. Once you go up and down a time or two, you will be a pro. A 4WD or all-wheel drive is NOT required unless there is ice or snow on the roads. This home is not handicap equipped or motorcycle accessible.

About Brandon Jones

Hi there! I was born and raised in South Florida and that there is where I still reside with my wife and 3 children. Living down here in paradise where it’s always summer is great, but when we go on vacation we like to head up to the mountains for a change of scenery. We like Maggie Valley, NC because you get you experience all the seasons. Our goal is to visit our home 4 times a year, one visit for each season. There is so much to do and see no matter what season it is.

We have put a lot of work into our house in order to make it feel like your own home away from home. During your stay with us, we hope enjoy all the amenities that the home as to offer. We have one rule– take a deep breath, breathe in the clean mountain air, relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you.

*** UPDATE *** We moved from South Florida to Charlotte, NC in 2016. We fell in love with the mountains and wanted to be closer to the house. Now we are less than a 3 hour drive away and can take advantage of going to the house a lot more. North Carolina gives us a taste of all 4 seasons vs. Florida where its summer all year long.

Brandon Jones purchased this house in 2014

Why Brandon Jones chose Maggie Valley

You will love as do I love the altitude of 3900 feet and being so close and private in nature. The views make for a wonderful relaxing visit with so many great restaurants, friendly hometown people and all that nature has to offer. The spring is awesome with all the new spring flowers and rebirth and the fall is just as splendorous in colors bursting out in every direction.

What makes this house unique

Watching the beautiful Carolina birds soar by, with wildlife galore, as well as the peace and tranquility that our home offers with all it's privacy and seclusion makes you feel like Heaven. The hot tub on the deck is a perfect place to look up at the stars on a clear night, watch the fireworks from above as never before, and the clouds create a multitude of fascinating views after a small shower or slight temperature change. The cool night temperatures make night time so restful with the doors and windows open in the summer. Imagine having to cuddle under the quilts on a clear summer night, while the crickets and frogs sing their night time songs.

Dear Jeannie and Joe,

Now we have spent our 2nd Thanksgiving in your beautiful home. Everything was as perfect as last year, with a few new memories.... We went snow skiing at Cataloochee Resort (Alex's first time). The day started rough for Al, but by mid-day he had his own fan club!! It was very fun and everyone was so nice....Even the ski instructor who had to help me up after Al plowed me over! We wanted to horse back ride at Cataloochee ranches but there was too much snow on the ground. I would recommend the stables at Queens as the horses appear much better cared for. Not to mention it's a few miles up the mountain the views are fabulous. Of course we went to Waynesville and ate at Nick and Nates....a few times. It's so good and I would tell anyone that you must try their pizza and beer. Other things we did were shopping in Cherokee, lots of hot tub time, lots of cozy fires, and cooked a yummy Thanksgiving feast - just for the two of us. There is a must have recipe in the Southern Living cookbook above the microwave - "Sweet Potato Surprise" - My second year making it. It is so good I had it printed on my Christmas cards to share with family and friends. Well - until next time.... thank you for making our holiday perfect. We love your home.

P.S. The recliiner is a great addition!!!!!

Exceeded all expectations!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Falcon Ridge. The house was very clean and well kept, and the view was breathtaking! It was very family friendly, and there was plenty to do nearby. The hot tub was a wonderful way to end our evenings. We certainly hope to return!

Owner's Response: Thanks for taking the time to leave your comments about your stay- I appreciate it. Glad you loved the house and the condition. We recently had new floors installed and the entire house painted- we do our best to keep it feeling new. There is nothing like starting the day with coffee in the hot tub or finishing it with a glass of wine. Thanks for staying at Falcon Ridge.

Peaceful setting with incredible view!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I (along with our Chihuahua) stayed at Falcon Ridge August 8-15, 2009. We absolutely loved it! The cabin was beautiful and had all the essentials of home. The view was incredible, especially from the hot tub. We enjoyed grilling out on the balcony and saw all types of wildlife including wild turkeys! The owners also called to check on us and the status of the cabin upon our arrival to ensure that we were satisfied and didn't have any questions or concerns. The cabin was also located close to several attractions: Ghost Town, Cherokee, Wayensville, and several wonderful restaurants,. We would highly recommend this cabin and plan on vacationing here again in the future!

Falcon Ridge - Beautiful home & views

  • 5 of 5

Falcon Ridge is truly a home away from home with the most Spectacular Views. Now I will say the road up to the cabin gave me a bit of a scare, but of course we made it safe & sound, many many times down & back up. We had a wonderful time visiting Maggie Valley, Clingman Dome, scenic back roads, it was bike week so the bikers gave us a few roads to travel that were amazing with waterfalls & views, just not to many places to pull off to look. The views from the in deck in the evening were amazing, especially when the sun was going down. You can see J Arthurs of course not close up but with binoculars. Man I wish I had brought my telescope, the stars, OMGoodness... We had a storm the last night we were there, that lightening across the sky, striking down or spidering across the mountains, was breathe taking, I got some of it on a video. Then it cleared up and the smell outside was so wonderful. The cabin was well stocked, spacious, very clean. I did have a few issue, 1) The towels & washcloths that were hung up in the first bedroom looked dirty when in fact they were stained especially the washcloths, the towels only a few did. I just went and got different ones 2) the heavy odor as you are walking up or down the stairs near the bottom was real strong like mildew or sour cardboard, my husband said it actually gave him a headache a few evenings it was more noticable of course after the rain, but it met us at the door upon our arrival. I lit the candles in hope it would disguise it, but it did not. Every night when we went downstairs to sleep it was very noticeable. 3) not having a fan to turn on in the bathrooms for ventilation was a bummer, but not a big deal. 4) The couch is so soft well for me it was hard to sit on due to my bad back, so I did enjoy the other chair in the room, my husband had dibs on the recliner. The internet was fast, cable was good, we did not find time for that big hot tub, how I wish we would have. I will next time...lol However, we did truly enjoy the cabin. The guys working up above the cabin clearing land kind of messed up the road with their heavy equipment, but Praise the Lord later that day they had someone up there grading it, remember it is partially paved, partially gravel. BUT WELL WORTH THE TRIP! We Will be back! Brandon was very helpful, checked in on us to make sure we arrived safely, and made sure to let us know if we needed anything to just give him a call. Thank you Brandon

Falcon ridge was wonderful and aplltly names. We had a falcon flying overhead nearly every day.

  • 5 of 5

The house was clean, spacious and well stocked. The drive up to home from the main road was winding, but remain calm and don’t stop. The view and the weather was fantastic. To make your stay more enjoyable check out the hours of operation for some of the establishments in town because they aren’t open every day. Some planning may be needed if there’s a place you wanted to try for dinner. A must see place is Chatalooche Valley. You will definitely see elk if you go two hours before sunset. Just take your bug spray and your camera. Stay calm on that drive too. Eat at Frankie’s and Butt’s on the Creek, you’ll not be disappointed. Waynesville is a nice day trip, lot of little shops to visit. Great way to spend an afternoon. Waterfalls are great to visit and take a day to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. The owners of property were in contact with us from booking to right before trip then day of arrival to day of departure. Very attentive to their guests and I would recommend this home to anyone.
