Tiffany, nine people moving around comfortably while the outdoor space hosted the gathering is exactly what the layout was built for. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock make a fine backdrop for a group trip. Come back with the crew whenever the mountains call.

Glorious getaway

We booked this as a restful getaway for my wife’s 70th birthday along with our three adult daughters (sans hubbies and children). It could not have been more perfect! This near-new property gave us plenty of space, was beautifully decorated, a secluded feel yet with access to the lake— we soaked up every minute. We particularly liked taking breakfast together on the screened-in porch; everyone likes to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed. The girls enjoyed basking in the sun on the deck above the boathouse— when we weren’t on the lake in the provided kayaks and canoe. Though there wasn’t really a hiking trail close to the property, trails were only a short drive away. All in all, definitely a five-star luxury experience for our special occasion, and host Cory was wonderfully communicative—even offered to cover the rental of paddle boards when we found the ones listed were unusable. We can certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious, restful getaway!

We've been coming to Lake Lure for the last 12 years and have been to four different homes and as my wife said when she walked in front door, oh my God, this is by far the best and that is true. It was absolutely immaculate and beautifully designed. We had eight adults and four children and everyone had their own comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. The screened in living space was fantastic for the Ford children to go out and eat snack snacks and watch TV and play. It was really a perfect place to stay. We would come back in an instant.

The house was perfect for my family. The layout, screen porches, outdoor spaces and access to the lake was great. The host was fantastic! Of my experiences with VRBO and other services this was my best experience for communication and general care about our stay.
