The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and had modern functioning appliances. The house was very clean and comfortable. The property manager was very responsive and helpful with information about the island. The neighbors were a bit noisy and the house is across from a ballpark so a lot of surrounding activity. The house is located within walking distance to local restaurants we enjoyed. There are many beautiful beaches within a short drive. Caracas Beach was our favorite.Thank you for sharing your home!
Great stay! The home was centrally located and an easy walk to downtown. It was perfect for two couples, with a well-equipped kitchen and appreciated extras like beach chairs and beach towels.Linda, the house manager, was wonderful and quickly handled a couple of minor issues. The owner was very communicative throughout our stay. Overall, a fantastic experience—Esperanza did not disappoint!

We enjoyed this nicely appointed house, but were able to completely lock ourselves out due to bedroom French door which locked unexpectedly.

Hi, Stanley. Thank you for your review, we're glad you enjoyed the house. When you locked yourself out, I called my neighbor across the street, who has an extra key, and who came to let you back in. Our house manager Linda was unable to understand how you had locked yourself out. The doors have to be manually unlocked from the inside, and then locked again manually from the outside. They cannot lock unless you have the key with you to lock them, and they all use the same key as the front door. Frankly we were left scratching our heads over this one. Please call me to explain how this happened. I have texted you my cell number. We can't fix something if we don't understand what is wrong.
We enjoyed our stay here. The host was very accommodating. The location is nice, the house was clean, the AC worked great. We picked some star fruits from the tree in the front yard, they are actually good fresh, unlike the ones we get in the grocery stores where we live. Walking to the restaurants and bars on the malecon is very close. We would stay here again for sure.
Great space to live like a local while on vacation. Convenience store close by was great. Two loud dogs next door that bark non stop were a minor negative. Roosters are a nice natural alarm clock every morning. Recommend ear plugs if you plan to sleep in one day. Local food supply shortages due to over tourism and long term effects of hurricane damage (I assume). Recommend bringing groceries from main island over before boarding ferry to Viequez. House was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfy and bedrooms were great size. Loved the tasty star fruit and guanábana trees on property!

We are so happy you enjoyed our local neighborhood, the convenient little colmado around the corner, and the country-like setting. Actually, the dogs are not the problem, it's those beautiful wild horses. Bands of them wander through the village all night, trying to open gates to get to the fruit in the yard, or reach over the fence to pull bags out of the trash cans. The dogs are trained to keep barking until the horses move on up the hill! Please DO NOT try bringing food on the ferry from the main island! It is a nightmare! There are no food shortages, just many small stores around the island that carry different items. Please call the house manager if you can't find something, and she will know who carries it, or which store gets fresh delivery of dairy or veggies that particular day. Food spoils fast in tropical climates, so stores don't keep large quantities of perishables in stock.
The host's representative, Linda was welcoming and put us in touch with a company that rented cars at a reasonable priceThe house facilities were generally good, except that the water temperature, in spite of Linda's best efforts were never above lukewarm throughout the 16 days of our stay. In addition, a lot of the dinnerware had chips.
This is a perfect house for two couples. We loved being within walking distance of the beach and restaurants in Esperanza - it’s a great location for exploring the island. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and we loved sitting out on the porch. We had a great stay.

We're glad you enjoyed our convenient location, beautiful kitchen, and spacious and breezy porch--one of the best locations for morning coffee or a home-cooked dinner on the island!
Could not have asked for more! Had wonderful help from Linda on arrival as we landed late and she helped arrange for picking up our rental car. The house was spectacularly clean and comfortable. The location is excellent and the time flew by.
Comfortable home within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and beach of Esperanza. Property manager was a lifesaver when our flight was delayed, causing us to miss the ferry and our car. Overall lovely place from which to explore Vieques.
Fantastic stay! House was as advertised. Great a/c's in the bedrooms and plenty of fans in the kitchen/living room to keep things cool. Easy to park the rental car.Literally a 7-10 minute walk (in flip flops) to a small grocery store that had almost everything we needed at any given time.Walking distance to two beaches, and also to where most of the tours meet up (snorkeling and bio-bay tours), as well as restaurants. Great hosts! Non-obtrusive but super responsive if we ever needed anything. We look forward to staying here again!
The location of this property is excellent. The owner and property manager were very responsive to any questions we had and ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible.
We loved our stay here! Perfect location. Comfortable. Great for our small family. Property manager was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved this property and loved the island. We will definitely stay here again. The property manager, Linda, could not have been nicer or more helpful. The house has everything you need and is close to beach and restaurants. We rate our stay a 10 out of 10. LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!
Great property close to restaurants/bars/beaches. We rented a golf cart to explore the other side of the island also, perfect for what we wanted to do. Communication with the property manager and owner were great. Would definitely recommend- Vieques is beautiful!!
We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Very clean and well equipped. Location was great and walkable to downtown Esperanza. Nice local market and sandwich shop a block away. Property manager was awesome. Picked us up at airport and dropped off. Overall, great property.

I stayed here with my 11 year old daughter for 5 days. The property is nice, just needs a little bit of upkeep. The area is very nice, walkable to the restaurants, grocery store and the malecon. It is in a local neighborhood so you feel part of the community. The owner and the manager are very nice and helpful.
It was our first trip to Vieques, and we didn’t really know where to stay on the island. We picked the right spot. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, only a short walk to the Malecon. The house offers everything you could possibly need, and we felt safe and comfortable with our 3 young children. We will absolutely return and will stay here again.
The house layout was perfect for two couples. Comfortable living area and kitchen as well as bedrooms. There was always an ocean breeze which enabled us to sit out on the porch whenever we wanted to. We walked to the Malecón restaurants at night. House manager was very attentive to solving a few issues we needed help with.
We had a great time at the island. It was nice being just up the road from the main restaurant area but not so close we could hear it at night. We appreciated the fans/a/c for comfort but also to try and block out the roosters that roam and make noise all night. We loved the beach stuff we could use and enjoyed the beautiful beaches each day. Catherine was so helpful for any help we needed!
This home is centrally located in Esperanza, the smaller Vieques town. Large, clean front lawn leads into a well appointed and supplied 2 bedroom, 2 bath home.
All good! Location, manager, supplies all get a 5 star rating. Loved my stay and will return again.
