Owning a home in Munds Park has been a lifelong dream, fueled by childhood memories of driving through this beautiful area on the way to summer camps.

Great house!

We had a blast staying her for the 4th of July. We love Munds Park and the house was great. Upstairs bedrooms got hot during the day (only noticed because babies were napping up there), but were okay by night time. The host was great and very responsive. 5 stars! Overall super happy.

Cabin in the Woods

We had a great stay at this property and enjoyed the home and surrounding area. The home is well-decorated, clean, comfortable, and located in a beautiful neighborhood. That being said, we were told the dishwasher was not working before we arrived. Inconvenient, but we didn't make much of it as the home was worth the hassle. The only issue I have that cost the host one star is that he contacted us the day before our departure to ask us to wash the linens and towels and to tidy up the house due to a mix-up with scheduling the cleaners to come the day we left (he mistakenly scheduled the cleaners for the day before we left and had to cancel). I found this request unreasonable since we paid for a cleaning fee and were only asked to put the dishes in the sink, and put the used sheets on the beds per our departure instructions. Regardless, I left the house spotless because that is what we do when we rent a vacation property. We left the towels laundered, the dishes cleaned, and the house completely tidied up as a token of appreciation for a great stay. I just wished the host hadn't overstepped and asked us to be his cleaning service on our vacation. I understand mix-ups with cleaning schedules, but that wasn't our problem to fix.

I am born and raised in Arizona and I've been blessed to travel all over the state and know it very well. Outside of Az, our family travels a substantial amount within and outside of the US. We often use STR's and are familiar with the experience from the guest side and will strive to make your experience better than any experience we've had as a guest ourselves.

Why they chose this property

The name "Villa de Vis" means "Dream Villa" in Romanian. My wife is Romanian and it was always a dream of mine to own a home in Munds Park since I was a child. Every Labor Day, Memorial Day and summer vacation my family would drive through Munds Park the "back way" to Mormon Lake to the camp we attended. Coming from the background I came from, I knew it was just a pipe dream.

Until my wife and I purchased this cabin for our family. For years we've rented our own STR in Munds Park for new years, during COVID and for vacations. Now it's our opportunity to be the host and share our home so we hope you love it as much as we do!

Munds Park is very close to Sedona, Flagstaff, Williams and Mormon Lake if you want to get out and see the high country. Or it's unbelievably peaceful and serene to just stay and hang out. There is a local coffee shop, restaurant, play area and all the outdoor activities you could ever want.

What makes this property unique

"Villa de Vis" gives you all the comfort of a modern home but with a cabin vibe. Many homes in Munds do not have a traditional A/C or heat system and ours is brand new. The front and rear decks are amazing and there is even a rear patio area where you can sit and enjoy a fire when the season permits.
