The house was great, exactly as pictured and very roomy / comfortable for our family. The amenities were nice and the house was very well stocked. It was an easy drive downtown with the benefit of being able to get away to a more remote/quiet setting without being far.

A spacious and comfortable home! The 5 bedrooms were ideal for the 5 in our group. The 3 levels provided privacy and also space for gathering together. It is quite a distance from Asheville but an easy drive and the panoramic views along the road are beautiiful.

Beautiful Home in the Mountains

Gorgeous house! We have stayed at a lot of VRBOs and this was one of the best equipped ones! From cotton swabs to Ninja blenders, we had everything we needed! My mother-in-law joked how we need to go to Ikea because there were cute platters, dishes, and serving ware all from Ikea! And so many dishes and silverware that we could go a few meals without running out! Bruce was super responsive and helpful. We got into some car trouble and he was flexible and accommodating as we needed a tad of extra time to get it fixed so we could depart. It may seem obvious but being in the mountains makes grocery runs a little inconvenient. Just something to note for future renters. Our favorite feature was the amazing theater room! We watched more movies than usual on this trip!!! A great time had by all! Thank you!!!

Lovely house!

We had a wonderful stay at the Modern Mountain Retreat. The house is simply beautiful - wonderfully laid out, well-appointed, spacious, and immaculate. It's in a quiet and peaceful location, surrounded by trees. We loved all of the amenities, which kept my extended family beautifully entertained - the pool table, movie theater, deck, and cornhole. And Bruce from Banjoe was a pleasure to work with - responsive and accommodating. We wish we could have stayed longer! I recommend this house without any reservation.

Modern Mountain Masterpiece!

A previous review said the pictures don’t capture this house and it’s very true! The inside is beautifully designed and maintained. The outside has lovely views. There was tons of space for all of us to spread out and then come together for game night, meals and movie night! Thank you to the host for all the help and making things super smooth!

Christmas Family Vacation

This house was AMAZING! My family and I stayed there during the Christmas days and we could not spend these days somewhere better. Everything was very well thought out and equipped with everything you need. Bruce was very friendly and attentive to our needs. He was very kind to help us with a package I had delivered to the house that arrived a day early and was able to secure it for us and deliver it the day we arrived. We can definitely recommend this house at the highest!!

August Trip to Asheville

Our trip to "Modern Mountain Retreat" was fantastic. House lives up to the beautiful photographs. New, clean, well stocked. Appreciated vase of flowers on our arrival. So much attention to detail - charging plugs, paper supplies, wraps/bags in kitchen. So well stocked. Bedrooms, main living area, and downstairs theater / pool all were impressive. Especially enjoyed the back porch and waking up every morning to coffee and watching for the wildlife, including donkeys and goats at the farm next door. House was about 15-20 min drive down to Asheville. Ingles grocery about 10 min away. Perfect house for family get together to Asheville. Would recommend in a heartbeat to anyone looking at this house. Bruce (property management) was responsive and great to work with.
