Perfection in Provence
A perfect villa for relaxation and peace and quiet. Pool, garden and air conditioning are particularly differentiating positives
Gorgeous house and garden
We spent a fortnight here in August and had a great time. The pool is a really good size for a large group and the pool side furniture plentiful and stylish. The grounds are a particularly lovely feature with lots of mature trees and abundant natural shade. Inside, the house was characterful and comfortable, and very peaceful. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome as we had excellent weather throughout our stay. Lots to see in the local towns and villages and also handy for the coast and airport.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We are always delighted when our guests enjoy their stay and after all the rain earlier in the year, I'm pleased that the garden was particularly lush. Hope we can welcome you back next summer.
Superb well presented Villa
My wife and I have rented around 10 or 12 pretty pricey Villas in the last 9 years of visiting the South of France, this one is without doubt the best presented and maintained and offers excellent value. It has a superb child friendly good size pool. Frejus beach is a gem, great local restaurants. Owners and local man Peter are a delight to deal with.
Very pleased it worked out so well for you, especially as it was a last-minute booking! We had a sudden cancellation but this lovely couple saved the day. Thank you and come back soon for more lounging about on the trampoline. :)
Where should I start?... In short: we had a fantastic holiday in Amanda's wonderful property.
Lovely house, huge and well-maintained garden, perfect pool, calm surroundings,... All in top condition, very clean and comfy. A veeery nice place to spend holidays!
Communication with Amanda was quick, friendly and uncomplicated. The people looking after the house have been very nice as well: Peter who welcomed us, the gardener and his wife, the poolguy... All very friendly and helpful.
The only very slight downside was the slow internet connection. For people traveling with teenagers and/or having to keep connected with business, it might be a point to keep in mind. That being said, it's manageable and probably helps taking it easy. ;-)
In one (or two) workds: highly recommended!
Thanks, Pierre for your kind words! It was a pleasure to communicate with you and we are delighted you and your family enjoyed your holiday in our villa. As for the internet, we have added a wifi expander to increase the signal, and Peter is working on finding a further solution. I hope we can welcome you back another year with a 10% discount for returning guests!
A stunning, very private villa in amazing grounds
This villa is really tucked away in a very exclusive residential area and not the easiest place to find! However, there is no doubt about it, this is a very beautiful villa - very traditional in style and decor and incredibly spacious. The layout is brilliant if you are two groups / families travelling together, with two rooms upstairs with their own bathroom and two downstairs and again their own bathroom. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the dining room / lounge enormous. The best bit for us though was the outside dining area, the gardens and pool. Having a huge fridge outside was so brilliant and the BBQ, as we just lived at the pool all day and ate outside in the evenings. It would have been even better to have equipment placed in the draws that would prevent having to bring stuff outside all the time - corkscrew, cutlery, breadknife etc. However this is just a suggestion that would make it much better as would a hob attachment for the BBQ! The pool is amazing and a great design especially with children. Very shallow beach style at one end, very very deep in the middle and with a ledge all around the edge so that you can stand at the edge. Our 3 year old learnt to swim during the week we stayed! The trampoline was fantastic and entertained the children for hours, although some sort of netting might have allowed us to relax a little more! The children were so happy though thus happy parents. The garden is enormous and very well kept , a delight to wake up and see it. We had a few niggles during the week such as with the new lighting system, plumbing and WiFi, but these were resolved as quickly as possible and to the best of the responsible agent's ability. Overall, this was a truly wonderful place to stay and very memorable. It is alot of money for a week but well worth it for sure!
We have put in air conditioners in all the bedrooms this year which has made summer nights more comfortable especially during the hottest part of the year. We always hope we can welcome happy guests back another time with a returning guest discount!
What a Summer Holiday
This is an oasis in the South of France, while it is situated within striking distance of the beaches on the Med, we could only drag ourselves away from the beautiful villa and surrounds a couple of times each week. Its a great base to explore the Provence interior or just to retreat in comfort surrounded by a house and garden that is perfect for a large family. Superclean and very well kitted out...book it if you can.
Thank you, Family D, for staying with us! We appreciate all comments from guests, but it's always a pleasure to know that people have enjoyed their holiday in our home. Returning guests always get priority booking and a 10% discount. So perhaps Family D will want to come back and check if the giant toad is still in the garden next year, barring any further encounters with large sandals!
Located on the edge of a beautiful forest, and minutes away from shops and other amenities, the house is a very convenient base and centrally located to explore the lovely outdoor markets and antique shops in the nearby hilltop villages of Fayence and Seillans. Enjoy visiting the famous perfumeries in Grasse and indulge in shopping along the Croisette in Cannes, both within 30 minutes' drive.
Ten minutes away, the Lac de Saint Cassien is an outstanding area of natural beauty, with kayaking, pedalos, fishing and horse-riding. From the villa there are a number of beautiful hiking trails. Or book a round of golf at the 2 courses at the Domaine de Terre Blanche, and relax with a spa visit to the Four Seasons' hotel and resort at the same time. A driving range is the latest addition to this wonderful resort.
Further afield, visitors can explore the length of the charming Cote d'Azur and delve deep into the heart of Provence within a couple of hours.
Other Activities: Pedalos and kayaking on the Lac de Saint Cassien.
