This house is a nature lover’s paradise.
My wife and I rented this house for the month of February 2020. We wanted to escape the Midwest winter. The house sits on a private lot far away from highway noise and traffic. It overlooks a large marshy area that’s perfect for wildlife viewing. It has a wraparound deck for unlimited outside sitting and entertainment. The house itself is an open concept with a large family room kitchen and dining area. All the furniture including the beds were comfortable and well laid out. I did have an issue with the charcoal grill and Pete personally drove to the house and fixed the problem.
Overall this house was perfect for our family and dogs. The location is save, private and friendly. We actually found another home managed by Pete’s company and rented it for next year.
Nice place to hang out for our swim with the manatees in Homossassa springs.
Peace and quiet abound.
Our family enjoyed a wonderful time and we were very comfortable over our Thanksgiving holiday. The property was perfect for our family to get together and share the outdoors together. We all agreed that we would stay again for another adventure.
This property offers a great location to enjoy nature. Lots of wildlife both on land and in the water surrounds this home. Enjoy the kayaks and explore the waterways where you are likely to spot dolphin playing or manatees swimming around. Both Gulf and back water fishing is easily accessible. We are happy Keith and his family took advantage of what our home has to offer. You are welcome back anytime! Pete
This house fit our needs perfectly for a group of 9. There were plenty of beds and sitting areas to relax. Having a huge kitchen and laundry area was ideal. But the best part was having our boat right out back.
We agree! We are glad you enjoyed your visit. We look forward to having you and your group back....Pete
This lovely home is well-decorated and very clean. Big flat screen TV,great beds, dock , three kayaks
The all-around veranda on the second floor is a wonderful feature. There is sun when you want it and shade when you choose.Cool ocean breeze at night! Also the backyard has a good dock with a dredged canal for kayak or boat tie-ups. We loved the shore birds and jumping mullet in the water each morning. The neighbourhood is quiet and the home is only five miles from Crystal River. We had A perfect holiday here !
The Hay family. February 2018
It is such a joy to share our home with our neighbors from Canada...they have such a great appreciation for what Crystal River has to offer (also helps we had one of the warmest February on record)....it is nice to hear you enjoyed our home and location....let us know when you plan to visit again!
The City of Crystal River is built around Kings Bay, a manatee
sanctuary popular for diving in the winter when manatees are in
abundance. Summer offers a warm area for all types of water sports
with the constant cool waters from the springs to keep you
comfortable. Easy access to the Gulf of Mexico for year round fishing
and, when in season, scalloping. Fast becoming an area known for
ecotourism with a large number of nature trails, parks and a canoe
trail. For the Golfing enthusiasts we have 9 courses enough to keep
you busy all week. Lots of shopping for the bargain hunters. Close
enough for day trips to Orlando and Tampa for all the major theme
About Pete Vega
Our new family lives just outside of Orlando which is approximately 1.5 hours from Crystal River. We are all Florida natives; Pete grew up in Inverness which is the town next to our vacation condos and why we chose Crystal River. We like the laid back sleepy little town feel and fell in love with the areas springs, specifically Three Sisters. What started as a weekend get a way has turned into a wonderful place we are happy to share.
Pete Vega purchased this House in 2015
Why Pete Vega chose Woods N Waters
Crystal River is a quiet little town with plenty to offer. The springs are beautiful and less than a 20 minute boat ride from our dock. On any given morning you can see manatees and dolphin swim by our dock, boat or paddle to waterfront restaurants and enjoy the nature preserve in Kings Bay. A 3 mile scenic boat ride takes you to the Gulf of Mexico where there is fantastic fishing, nature viewing and in the summer, scallop harvesting. You will enjoy near by Homosassa Wildlife Park and Indian burial grounds which leave a lot to explore. Golf courses, bike/hiking trails close will allow for an active vacation if desired.
What makes this House unique
We love our Bald Eagle home for several reasons including the quiet neighborhood surrounded by nature. We enjoy the 360 degree wrap-a-round Deck with beautiful views of old Florida and the Salt River as well as the tidal canal and our floating dock and sea wall in the back yard. You will love to open floor plan and the newly remodeled kitchen. It is great for families with the main house on the 2nd level and the third bedroom on the lower level with a private entrance (great for teens or guests). Covered parking and boat/trailer parking included.
