The unit was perfect for our family of 4. We loved having the well-equipped kitchen to make meals during our stay and eat together outside (still not over the mountain views and amazing rainbows). All of the pool and beach toys were a hit with our kids and the practical items, like the cooler, were much appreciated. Everything was so quiet despite being in the middle of a bustling resort, and that, paired with comfortable beds, made for some of the best sleep ever. We hope to be back and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

Fantastic. We will come back for sure. The place was well kept and had all the amenities listed and even more. Communication with the host was easy and very quick. The only thing I would consider when booking the property is if you have a mixed family there is only one bathroom. It worked perfect for us and the bathroom is huge.

This property is absolutely perfect for families! The condo was spacious and came with everything we needed to enjoy the pool and beach. There were plenty of towels, 3 TVs, and a stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook meals at home. The beds (even the sofa sleeper) were all very comfortable. Despite losing power for 22 hours from Hurricane Lala, we felt safe and were still able to enjoy the beach! Duke’s restaurant is right on site with poolside service. The Whaler’s general store is located in the lobby and was so convenient for essentials and our morning coffee! My kids loved the pools and are deeply sad to leave them behind . If we return to Maui, we will not hesitate to book this spot again!

Maui family trip

We have stayed at Hanua Kai many times and it’s our favorite resort in Kaanapali. This condo was fantastic. We went with our two young girls and the 2 bedroom was very nice to have and it had a tv in the room where they could relax and wind down at night It was clean on arrival and had all the amenities and supplies including beach supplies which was awesome. I would absolutely recommend this unit to anybody. Thanks for the great stay.

Great stay!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very comfortable, clean with a great balcony and view. The pools were warm and the beach just a short walk away. Grocery store is just across the road which made making meals very easy. Will be back!

Excellent Stay

The suite was perfectly suited for a family with two bedrooms and ample living space. Well accommodated with toys for the beach, beach chairs and umbrellas. The resort is excellent with lots of pools, beautiful beach and great service. I highly recommend!

Such a beautiful condo and resort

I can not say enough about this property. My mom and I decided to visit Hawaii together to make some new memories together. The unit was very nice and we had everything that we needed. Great location and the beach was amazing. I've never seen such clear and beautiful water. I felt like I was in paradise.

It was our second time to stay at Honua Kai. The pools are wonderful and we spent a lot of time there with our 3-year old granddaughter. She loved the water slide! The beautiful beach is just steps away, which we loved!!!The unit had two bedrooms so it worked just fine for us even though there is only one bathroom. We thought the bathroom (shower & toilet) wasn’t cleaned properly, but overall, the unit was clean. The staff at the bell desk were all nice and helpful! We had a very pleasant stay there!!
