Shot-Gun Cottage Space Thoughtfully Set Up
This location was as advertised. While the inside is small, it is set up to make the most of the small space. There are drawers in the bedroom to put your clothes and kitchen cabinet space to store your food. They have a Keurig and a kettle. The stove/refrigerator were not full-sized, but it was not an issue for us. There is a fold down table you can use for meals, as there is no room for an eating area. We sat on the couch and had brought a plastic bin with us, which we used for our table. The cottage was fully stocked, with thoughtful items you might normally not see in a rental (beach towels, K-cups of different kinds, plenty of toilet paper, tissues, candles to use, saran wrap, aluminum foil to name a few). It is about a 7-minute walk to the beach. There is a small shed on the property where we could store our bikes (we used our lock for the shed doors). The property manager was responsive. She reached out upon arrival and answered our questions promptly. We happened to be there for the Long Beach Mardi Gras parade, which went right by our cottage, an added bonus! The units for the heat/air conditioning are right behind the bedroom wall. If you are a light sleeper, it could bother you as they are not always at a constant noise. My husband wore ear plugs some nights. The house is several blocks from the freight train tracks but that was not an issue from a sleeping/noise perspective. If you are good with a tiny house, I would recommend this one!
