Great for a family stay- had everything you need and then some! The parking video was helpful and the owner was very responsive. As with most lake properties, there are many levels of decking / stairs, but very manageable! The kids loved kayaking and fishing from the dock. The owners took great pains to make sure children were accommodated with high chair, dinnerware and great toys to play with. Overall, it was a great experience for the entire family.

Perfect lake property!

Stayed here with 7 total adults. Very well stocked home with well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. Wonderful lake home location! Serene back decks (yes multiple!) with gorgeous views. Scott was very informative on particulars of the property and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

I’ll start by mentioning that we have been using VRBO’s for over a decade and travel frequently. We have never left a bad review. The property is advertised as close to Fort Benning so we picked it as our son had an army graduation. - It’s not that close. An Uber or Lyft is well over 100 to get there. Our son needed one to get back to base as we left before him. Bugs are also a major issue. They are so bad at this property that it’s almost impossible to be outside. The house is very old as well, they clearly have a bug problem. We did not expect to sleep with bugs. This is a very old house that has not been updated, just painted over. Example: The bunk beds had railings that were super glued together and the wooden deck is about to cave in.I also believe the owner must live at the property normally and doesn’t have much experience renting it. We are a very clean family and do all the normal courtesies expected. Leave dishes in the dishwasher, take out the trash, etc. I’m not sure what these people expect. As our son and daughter in law were leaving the owner showed up and in verbatim told them “did you enjoy trashing my place. Why don’t you put a bag over your head on your way out”Mentioned that to them and no response. Obviously I would never recommend their ran down little home to anyone and they should actually take it off VRBO as they obviously need it more than your typical investor that uses the platform correctly.

One of the best and cleanest guests we have ever had. Cleaner wouldn't have known someone visited if we didn't tell them. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the property, and we welcome you to visit any of our properties when you can.

Family stay for high school graduation

Our family stayed for the weekend to celebrate my son graduating high school. We had 8 people sleep comfortably. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and swimming during the day. At night we loved the outdoors seating. The cabin is extremely clean and fully stocked. I had all items needed to cook all meals and the large table made meals fun! This cabin definitely gets 5 stars from my family. It was perfect for my 3 year old nephew to my 91 year old great aunt!

Great host- great house!!! (Turning green ceremony)

We were traveling for our son’s turning green ceremony. This house was perfect!! We all had a wonderful time. Owner was so helpful and kind from the start! The home had everything we needed and more. We spent a ton of time outside on the deck. From morning coffee enjoying the lake to fishing off the dock. Book this place!!! You will have a fantastic time!!

So glad you and your family enjoyed the house. Tell your son the Sheppard's are thankful for men like him that sacrifice to make our country great. The freedom we enjoy is because of people like him that give of themselves, and work hard to keep the USA the greatest country on earth.

This was a fantastic weekend home! Our soldier had a 4-day pass and just wanted to relax. It was such a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends. The house had a large table for family meals. The kitchen was great! The family room was very comfortable with really comfy furniture with plenty of places to relax. The deck was wonderful! We kayaked and floated in tubes just off the deck. The 2 story deck also gave us some shade during the hot part of the day. The owners were very accommodating and checked to make sure we had all we needed while there. We highly recommend this home!

Fantastic Getaway!

We just spent five incredible days at this beautiful lakehouse, and it was exactly what our family needed after our son's infantry graduation, a peaceful and relaxing break before his next training phase. The location is ideal: a short drive to Fort Benning and an easy trip to the airport. The house was perfect: immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and stocked with absolutely everything we could possibly need. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the owner went above and beyond by sending a helpful video before our arrival. He was also incredibly responsive, answering all of my (many!) questions quickly and kindly, which made the whole experience even better. The lake was clean, calm, and absolutely beautiful. The kids had a blast swimming and spending time outdoors. Every moment felt peaceful and special. Our only complaint? That we had to leave. We would return in a heartbeat!
