Just one mile from the University of Oregon, Meadow View is perfect for visiting the U of O. So close to campus yet in a lovely, quiet residential neighborhood. The Meadow View property is across from a beautiful oak savanna which 50 years ago was the back 9 holes of Laurelwood Golf Course and today is undeveloped parkland. The street is one lane and dead ends 6 doors from Meadow View where the the city's Ribbon Trail system, a jewel for runners and walkers, begins. In addition to its close proximity to the University, Meadow View is just minutes from the Matthew Knight Arena, Hayward Field, Hendricks Park, restaurants and downtown.
Bright and spacious, the master suite has a clean, modern feel and is newly remodeled featuring a luxurious King size bed, efficiency kitchen and new bathroom with large tub. With a private entrance and private patio area, you will feel like you are in your own retreat while you are a guest here.
Or, choose to reserve the cottage on the upper level of the property (sleeps two), featuring a full kitchen, vaulted ceiling and skylights. Guests who have stayed here have described it as private, quiet and cozy and it has gotten rave reviews over the years.
You'll find the kitchen supplied with the makings for a basic breakfast - organic fruit, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, coffee and a variety of teas. Prepare these at your leisure and enjoy breakfast on the front patio if you wish.
Relax and enjoy our 'front 40', the oak savanna, good walks in the woods leading into Hendricks Park. There are maps available of the trail system and more, allowing you to get out and explore all that Eugene and Lane County have to offer.
One recent guest said: 'Loved the location and ease of getting around from this beautiful neighborhood to the university campus. After spending time hiking, visiting, shopping and of course, eating at the great local restaurants, I came back to a delightful and peaceful place to rest. The owner was gracious and attentive and I felt welcomed and cared for through the many thoughtful touches she has provided both indoors and outdoors. Will return again!'

Utterly amazing, magical and cozy getaway
Located in a little enchanted nook of Eugene, this place is definitely worth your consideration. Close to the university and all the things Eugene has to offer, but across the street from a jogging trail and woods that are nestled on the backside of a beautiful golf course, the local wildlife come out to play quite often with deer in the fields at night and the occasional hummingbird zooming by during the day. I stayed in the cabin behind the house, and it was an utter delight. Full kitchen and half fridge, with a great interior and lovely bathroom. Ideal for one or two people wanting to get away from it all. Land owner completely respectful of privacy and a wonderful person to deal with. Highly, highly recommended!
It was a delight to meet you Brandon. I am so happy your stay was all you wished for! Hope to see you again sometime. Dralyn
Another great stay!
Stayed in the cottage two years ago and we looked no where else when we made a return trip to Eugene. The cottage is great, quiet place, the best nights sleep I had gotten in a long time. The Cottage is at the edge of town, but centrally located to be able to get to the university quickly! Next time we are in Eugene we will be staying again! Thanks Dralyn!
Cute, cozy and private
Not knowing the area well, we really did not know what to expect. As soon as we arrived, my wife and I were smiling at our choice to stay here. It is a converted art studio that had been remodeled. It is very roomy with a lot of charm. The studio is located very close to the university and many eateries in the area. We will be coming back for sure.
We loved our stay. We rented both bungalows. Both were adorable and clean.
Beautiful, private and great location. Highly recommended!!
Beautiful property & great location
Our daughter was getting married in Springfield Oregon so we decided to look at hotels and rental homes for our trip. Once we saw Dralyns property that not only offered a master suite but also a separate cottage we knew we found the right place. Dralyn was easy to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. The rentals were clean, roomy, peaceful and located in a great area of Eugene. It was such a relief being able to concentrate on preparing for the wedding and knowing at the end of the day we were able to retreat to such a beautiful place. Thank you Dralyn and we look forward to staying again on our next trip to the area.
We will return
Very clean, open and airy, could sleep all day in that bed. My wife loved the old books, and the country location right in the city.
Thanks Curt! You were great guests. I enjoyed meeting you both, and look forward to hosting you again.
Happy Travels! Dralyn
We are walking distance to the University of Oregon and Hayward Track, along with many good neighborhood restaurants, bakeries and an ice cream shop. The area is one hour to the ocean, one hour to the mountains for skiing & hiking, and near to the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers for fishing and hiking. There are hiking/walking trails just steps from the property which lead into Hendricks Park. For longer hikes, drive just 10 minutes to Spencer Butte or 15 minutes to Mount Pisgah Arboretum.
