Great beach and spectacular view! Family games and boats were big hits. We enjoyed the large yard space and hot tub. Communication was poor, from questions regarding amenities to leaking water from ceiling.

Thank you, Maureen, for sharing your experience. We're glad the beach, view, and family activities added to your stay. We’re truly sorry that communication wasn’t as smooth as it should have been. We’ve made improvements to ensure quicker responses and better support moving forward. We’d love the chance to host you again for an even better stay.
I have sent a direct email regarding some concerns but wanted to give a few points regarding the home itself and some needed upgrades:Dining room table frame is broken in several placesKitchen has very little in the way of utensils/baking itemsGrill was not very well cleaned which made cooking a bit difficult Kitchen cabinets missing handlesOutside of home siding had significant mildew
We loved every part of our stay at Castleview Cove! The home was beautiful and MiCasa was so amazing to us! Answering any questions I had and great with response time! The hot tub was one of our favorite parts. You could easily have 5 people in and it was ready for us when we arrived. We weren’t able to figure out how to connect to the Bluetooth, but it did show you could connect and play music to it. The home was so clean and a real treat to explore. And the most amazing views of the lake and sunrise each day. We enjoyed bonfires on the beach, making s’mores, skipping rocks, and if it had been warmer, we would have enjoyed paddle boarding or kayaking since they were available to use. The area was so quiet and peaceful, so we never wanted to leave. The drive to a local grocery was a bit long, but we didn’t mind. We traveled about 25 minutes to Walmart in Sandusky for all our needs. The only draw back was the limited cell service and the Internet didn't quite reach the apartment area in the back of the house. Maybe an extender could be put in?We will definitely be staying here again if it’s available. And we can’t wait to see the finished pool that’s being put in!!! Thank you MiCasa for your hospitality!!!

Thank you so much for taking your time to write this wonderful review, Lori! We're thrilled you enjoyed your time at Castleview Cove—from the hot tub and lake views to the peaceful atmosphere and beach bonfires. We appreciate your notes about the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cell service—we’re actively looking into solutions, including a possible extender for better coverage. We can’t wait to welcome you back, especially once the pool is complete. Thanks again for choosing MiCasa!
We stayed here for a multigenerational family getaway with adults, teens, a toddler, and a baby. Some things to note:
Clean towels and bedding (pillows, pillowcases, duvets, sheets) are provided.
Two full bathrooms on the main floor — one is an ensuite off the kitchen bedroom.
The main kitchen fridge is industrial-sized. There’s no freezer, but we found a deep freezer in the garage on Day 3.
The street is busier than expected.
Huge backyard — great for kids to run around.
Upstairs, beside the den, are 8 bunk beds in an L-shape — perfect for teens.
One full bathroom upstairs with a soaker tub, plus two bedrooms.
One bedroom leads into a private apartment — more dated (but clean). To access it, guests either walk through that bedroom or use the exterior stairs to enter from outside.
The apartment has a sitting area with a bed, a separate bedroom, full bathroom, and full kitchen with fridge/freezer combo.
On Day 3, the garbage disposal broke. It was fixed the next afternoon (thanks to Will). The dishwasher didn’t work — dishes weren’t cleaned, so we hand-washed everything.
To access the beach, cross the main road and go down stairs. The firepit is there with plenty of chairs around it. Firewood not provided, but a neighbour nearby sells it.

Hot tub was great. The kitchen was missing SO many items to properly accommodate the number of people this house is marketed as housing. It is incredibly important that this be addressed for future rentals as this location is not near big box shops or large grocery stores. I would assume other families would travel in with food as we did. It was not easy to properly prep for our group. This space is very awkward with access to a bed, bathroom & bedroom (mother in law suite?) that goes through another bedroom. (we did locate another access via the garage to avoid the nonstop awkwardness). The living room TV is oriented in a way that does not make viewing easy for groups. The furniture placement was also odd. The upstairs bathroom handles the majority of the sleeping space with 2 bedrooms 8 twin bunks. That particular bathroom has a bathtub with no shower. Windows in the master bedroom would not close and you could feel the sub 0 wind blowing through. Another bedroom had construction debris with nails sticking out that had been shoved into a closet.Ants were all over 1/2 bath. The carpet appeared to have not been vacuumed in a long time. Silverware was dirty. The kitchen table was cracked & appeared very unstable. When reported the response seemed to be AI & not a real human. With lots of snow on the ground, it left the floors wet for several days with no rugs in the entryway or hooks for winter gear.
