Downtown La Conner, along the saltwater Swinomish Channel, has great shopping, dining, antiquing and just plain walking slow and dilly dallying. I started building houses in 1972 and built this one in 2004. We have built and moved many times, this neighborhood is the best.
Jim purchased this House in 2004
Why Jim chose Skagit County
The quiet beach community. Beach, and walking, 300 feet to the best beach in the area.

Perfect Romantic Getaway
Quite place near the water with everything you would need to enjoy a romantic weekend. Highly recommended.
An extremely comfortable well-eqjuipped house
Staying in the lower part of Jim and family's house was close to being perfect. The view is beautiful at all times of the day and the house is in a very quiet location. The small town of La Connor which is nearby has everything you need including farm shops and some very good cafés and craft shops. The quilt museum is particularly worth a visit. The house is well-equipped with cooking utensils, household products and even sandwich boxes! The beds are really comfortable and the linen and towels are impeccable. There is plenty to do in the area with great boat trips from La Connor and neighbouring Anacortes (we saw humpback whales!) and the possibility to visit Seattle, Vancouver, Mt Baker ... without too much of a journey. Jim is very welcoming and a mine of information. We would be delighted to stay again if we did not live so far away - in France!
Just what we were looking for
Nice quiet location, close to everything. Great accommodations.
