Mauro was our host and he was excellent. He was very responsive and answered all of our questions very quickly. The location was great, close to the Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego Pier and Coronado. Great place for family with lots of room..

We've stayed in San Diego before, and this is by far our favorite location we've stayed at. It was very clean, comfortable, and safe. We loved having easy access to a grocery store, coffee, and train station. Even all the uber drivers we interacted with said that this particular location is in a nice safe area. We're definitely planning on booking this same location next year!

Everything we needed & close to Convention Center

Quaint place to stay - it was exactly what we needed and the property manager was responsive and patient when I couldn't figure out the lock to checkin. Close to a grocery store and some excellent restaurants. Recommend bringing ear plugs since the roadway can be loud.

Clean and Spacious House

We enjoyed our stay at this spacious and clean house. If you like Food and Music, you will enjoy this location. So many choices of restaurants in walking distance from the house. Reasonably priced super market very close by. Will stay here again.

Owner was easy to get in touch with and quickly responded to concerns. The home was clean. Close to a lot of activities. Very noisy/busy street.

Perfect location

This home is just as listed, however the location was even better than expected. Easy access to the zoo, La Jolla, Coranado, Gaslamp and more. Didn’t have to waste hours of time in crazy CA traffic. Thanks again. We will be back!

Excellent location

We are a family group of 5 senior adults returning from a cruise in Mexico to San Diego. We decided to visit San Diego for a few days before returning home. We were pleased to find the house was very clean and spacious. There are 3 large bedrooms, living room area as well as a renovated kitchen and 2 updated bathrooms.

We did not have enough silverware for our family of five but the host got some to us as soon as we asked. The kitchen has limited bakeware, microwave, dishes, etc. We spent a lot of time hand washing dishes because there is no dishwasher. Parking was a challenge because the slots in front of the house are only good for two hours during the day. Nights and weekends is 24 hour parking however.

The house was perfect for 6 adults, and had everything we needed! Our host was very responsive and helped us find a wonderful location to view July 4th fireworks. It’s half a mile from the trolley station, which allowed us to easily travel all over the city. Lots of local restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. The furniture is basic but functional, and we had no issues. Two of the three bedrooms are next to a major street, so you do have some street noise in the evening, plus we had nightclub music on Friday night. Ear plugs blocked it out. We appreciated the washer/dryer and the hair dryer.

The house itself is nice and newly remodeled, and it is conveniently located near downtown and the Coronado area. Unfortunately, our overall experience was very disappointing. The property is not located in a residential area; it is in a business area directly on a busy street, and a bar is located across the street. If you are hoping to sleep normally, that will be very difficult. On our first night, the bar was blasting loud music until around 2:00 AM, and there was also significant noise from the upstairs tenant walking around late into the night. We were unable to get any meaningful sleep. There were also issues with preparedness and cleanliness. The host had the wrong check-in date and believed we were arriving a day later, so the house was not properly prepared when we arrived. Basic items such as soap, shampoo, and dish soap were missing. In addition, the coffee pot had visible mold inside, which was concerning. On the second day, the host came to the property and initially scolded us for “checking in early.” Although he later realized the mistake was his and apologized, the interaction was very uncomfortable and unpleasant. We were in San Diego because my son was competing in a sporting event, and adequate rest was critical. After losing an entire night of sleep, we could not risk another sleepless night negatively affecting his performance. As a result, we had no choice but to check out early and lose money.

Mrs Li, we’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. The restaurant across the street has hosted live entertainment for several years. This is the first time we’ve received feedback indicating that the music caused a negative experience for a guest. We do disclose this in our listing so guests are aware of the surrounding environment. Music typically ends around midnight, and the city ordinance requires venues to stop outdoor music by around 10 p.m. Your stay happened to fall on a weekend when there were several events in the area, which likely made things busier than usual. Many guests reach out before booking to ask about the neighborhood, and we are always happy to provide details. After your reservation, we also sent a message asking if you had any additional questions, but we did not receive any concerns at that time. Regarding the coffee pot, it had been left behind by a previous guest and was stored in a locked lost-and-found area while waiting to be picked up. We’re not sure how it ended up accessible, but we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Our cancellation policy is firm, but we still tried to offer a solution. We let you know that if you checked out by 11 a.m., we could provide a 50% refund. Since checkout occurred around 3 p.m., which prevented us from preparing the unit for another reservation, we instead provided a prorated refund. VRBO also reviewed the situation and confirmed that issuing a refund was at our discretion. When my assistant stopped by to drop off extra shampoo and soap, the intention was simply to be helpful. There was no intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable. We’re proud that our property has consistently received excellent reviews across platforms, particularly regarding cleanliness and readiness. We always encourage guests to reach out through the app if they have questions or concerns during their stay so we can address them promptly. Again, we’re sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your feedback. We did our best to resolve the situation and wish you all the best moving forward.
