Alfred Street is a romantic Georgian one bedroom flat on the first floor of a Bath stone terrace. It is a light and airy space that combines contemporary furniture with antique dark wood surrounds. It is conveniently located in the centre of Bath on an historic and quiet cul-de-sac. Awarded 4 stars by the Tourist Board.

There is an open-plan kitchen and living room with huge floor to ceiling Georgian windows and hardwood flooring throughout. A fold down dining table with seating for up to 4 enjoys views across to The famous Assembly Rooms. A comfortable leather sofa is positioned by the fire-place, with a TV, DVD and Stereo and Internet Access. The kitchen, newly renovated in April 2010, has an electric hob and oven, a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine/ dryer.

Three wide steps lead you up to bright and pretty bedroom with big windows, double bed and freestanding wardrobe, plus a separate en-suite shower room. The bedroom can be closed off, creating a peaceful and intimate space. A newly refurbished bathroom with free standing bath, w.c. and sink has been added to the property in June 2008.

Lovely, comfortable, clean and welcoming apartment in a great position. A quiet area yet no distance from everything you come to Bath for! Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it highly.

Excellent flat, finished to a very high standard.

The whole process from booking to confirmation and arrival was effortless. Alexa and her team were very efficient. The welcome pack and orientation were helpful. The standard of the property was excellent and just what were looking for a weekend. It would also have been fine for a week stay too.

Street Bath (February 19-26).

The description given of the property, its facilities and photographic presentation was excellent. The property was extremely clean upon arrival and was very well-appointed. A minor initial problem with the bathroom was dealt with very efficiently and warmly by Robert, Alexa and Claire, and all three should acknowledged for their professionalism and care. The welcome pack was well chosen and generous. Its location was quiet and minutes from all of the attractions of central Bath. The parking permit was invaluable.The only slight reservation was the noise from the restaurant (Woods) beneath which affected us only on the Saturday of arrival and the following Friday. The disturbance was minor, however, and the restaurant caters for older, conservative customers. However, musical and sporting evenings were advertised and these might prove to be more intrusive in noise.The restaurant does close down around 11.00 to 11.30 and we were not unduly disturbed by it. Our stay was not in peak season and high season noise could be greater. The raised bedroom area with steps would not make it suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

We would definitely recommend this apartment, stay there again and intend to use Bath Holiday Rentals again this summer.

Alfred St is located above Woods restaurant which has been one of Bath`s favourite family run restaurants for the last 27 years. Around the corner are lovely shops, galleries, wine bars, restaurants and museums. Close by is Milsom Street, Bath`s main shopping thoroughfare, which leads down towards the Pump rooms, the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey and in the opposite direction is the famous Circus and Royal Crescent, set in front of lovely Royal Victoria Park. Whatever you choose to do, shopping, sightseeing or entertainment, most pursuits are a pleasant stroll of about 5-10 minutes away from your flat.

A parking permit is provided allowing you to park 1 car on the street out front or on any neighbouring streets. Charlotte Street car park is also a 5 minutes walk away for £8/day or the park and ride bus stops at the end of the street. Unrestricted street parking can be found a few streets away on a first come first serve basis. The Bath Spa Railway and bus station are a 10-15 minute walk away.
