Villa Julie (CITQ #132521) is in the heart of Charlevoix in La Malbaie where the 2018 G7 was held. It is neighbor to the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu Golf Course.
Located on the mountainside with an area of almost 215, 000 square meters (53 acres) acres, our wooded land offers a spectacular view of the mighty St. Lawrence River as well as a private 2-km hiking trail. No construction or electric cables obstruct this dazzling view.

You are not simply renting a home but also a private 53 acres domain where you could explore all the activities that a mature forest can offer.

In summer, relax around our private pond surrounded by flowers. Admire the passing ships on the St Lawrence River.
In winter, on the property you can practice snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing - views to die for. There is everything you could wish of to make yourself at home. The kitchen in particular is very well equipped. Super clean, too!

Stay in La Malbaie

The host, Louise, was lovely and responsive. A very nice place to stay for my family and a beautiful view of the St Lawrence from the deck. We enjoyed the fire pit one night as well. The one drawback is that it's fairly close to the road so we could hear traffic when outside. Otherwise a great place to stay.

An Extraordinary Property!

We have rented many VRBO and AirB&B properties over the years, but this one is in a league of its own. From the jaw-dropping 180-degree view of the St. Lawrence River to the beautifully decorated and maintained home (where the owners have thought of everything!), to the serene and gorgeous pond and gardens, to the lovely wooded trail down the mountain to a tranquil river-viewing platform, to the star-filled night sky…Well, I could go on and on, but you get the idea. It is everything the listing says and so much more!But most importantly, the owners of the property are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and wonderful people who live right down the road. Their roots run deep in the area, and they are clearly dedicated to helping their guests get the most out of their stay in this remarkably stunning part of the world.Honestly, I can’t say enough about this property. We all enjoyed our stay very much. The house is beautifully situated and splendidly furnished. The pictures are quite accurate and yet they do not do the home justice. Every room has spectacular views of the mighty St. Lawrence river - and every room has almost floor to ceiling windows so that the effect is striking! At night, one can see across the river at the twinkling lights on the opposite shore. There is a wide deck, also with glass windows and it was lovely to both sip our morning coffee outside and/or have an afternoon libation. The stars at night are something to behold for those of us that live close to cities. The kitchen is well stocked - I could not think of anything that would be needed - and there are high quality sheets on the beds. The house is at one end of a campsite and the owners are attentive and keep the site pristine. Both have an artistic flair and charm and are exceedingly helpful. The area is lovely. Of course there is the large Manoir Richelieu attraction for those who love to golf or gamble - but there is abundant nature for those who like to hike, kayak and partake in winter sports. There are charming restaurants in the village below - the food is great and the people are friendly. We had a wonderful time - there was enough for my whole family - and all were pleased. I shall be going back to this touch of heaven...

A great stay in Charlevoix

This is a great cottage with an amazing view of the St Lawrence River. We walked the trails through the property down to the trail that comes from the nearby Manoir Richelieu. The cottage is clean, spacious and very cute. We had a fire every night. It's close, but not too close to the town of La Malbaie for anything we needed. Thanks Jean-Jacques !

Beautiful property and location

Jean-Jacque and Louise were superb hosts, their advice on what to see and do was well appreciated and the trips we took as a result very enjoyable and the scenery stunning. The Villa was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with all the amenities that you would require. The deck was a great place to have breakfast and sit in the evening which overlooked the St Lawrence river. We would definitely stay here again and take home many great memories. Many Thanks

A Home Away from Home!

I recently enjoyed a lovely stay at Villa Julie and would highly recommend the accommodation for anyone wishing to enjoy the beauty of the Charlevoix region. The locale is situated high above the St. Lawrence River affording a spectacular panoramic view. The proprietor met us at the door, was personable, welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed opportunities to whale watch, visit galleries, cycle, take in a garden tour, and indulge in a lovely dinner at Le Manoir Richelieu. All in all, a lovey vacation spot, clean and accessible to main roads. A+

Wonderful Stay at Villa Julie in La Malbaie

We arrived to a very clean and well maintained cottage. Check in was very easy and the hosts were very helpful with the planning of our activities while we were there. They were able to book our Whale watching expedition, gave us a great recommendation on where to hike in the national park as well as which roads would be the best for road biking. Gorgeous view from the deck for our morning coffee! the cottage kitchen has everything that you would need to prepare your own meals. I would highly recommend this property.

Clean, fully equipped, absolutely breathtaking setting, wonderful friendly host in Jean Jasques.

If you are fearful of your lousy grasp of the French language and using that as an excuse not to visit here you are cheating yourself of a most wonderful experience. Our host speaks very good English and is very patient with our French. Villa Julie, named after one of our host's daughters, was in move in ready condition down to a store of staple items. Can't say enough about this place ... superb! Cannot wait to return.

Excellent stay!

Our family had a lovely time while staying at this property during our trip to Charlevoix. The house is recently constructed and nicely decorated with fantastic views of the St. Lawrence river. The owner provides high quality binoculars that are great for seeing ships in the distance. It is located a few minutes away from the town of La Malbaie. The exterior is exactly as shown in the photo and there is a large grass yard surrounded by trees where one can play frisbee etc. Inside there are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, a comfortable living and dining room with a fireplace (wood is provided), and a large screen TV with satellite reception on the main floor. The WiFi works very well. There is also a large outdoor deck that can be accessed through sliding doors on the main floor and has a dining table, chairs, and a gas BBQ. We enjoyed having our meals on the deck and enjoying the sunset. The entire property was extremely clean and the kitchen was very well-equipped. The owner is extremely kind, knowledgeable and easy to work with. We hope to return again!!

Such a lovely house with stunning views.

We were delighted to arrive at a lovely, large, well equipped and clean house with stunning views of the St. Lawrence. The deck was a perfect quiet spot to eat and relax looking out over trees to the river. Plenty of space for a family to hang out and very well situated for exploring the area. We found good restaurants, interesting villages and craft shops as well as fabulous countryside for hiking. It even has good wifi! The owners are really helpful and friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. Would definitely recommend to friends and family, though maybe I should keep the secret so we can still get in to stay there!
