Witch Water Cabin
Wow - loved this cabin and the location. It was everything that was described in the ad plus more. Beautiful setting, nice dock with great swimming, beautiful sunsets in the evening. We had three meals of fish while we were up there. Love the long driveway for walks, very quiet and relaxing. And I loved the fact I could bring my dog, she also enjoyed her family vacation. The cabin is comfy, lot's of lawn furniture outside, very relaxing vacation. Looking forward to booking for 2016.
Clean and quiet place
This a great private place to get together with friends or family. The cabin is clean and neat. There's plenty of lawn furniture to enjoy. Great view of the lake. The long driveway through the woods is cool, it makes you feel like you are up north. Thank you to Jodie for the nice weekend.
Second Year at "WITCHWATER"
Second year at Witchwater and looking forward already to next year. Once again the cabin ticked all the boxes!!! Everything in side and out was well maintained the new shower was a plus. Jodie is always there to help with and answer any questions. Being on Bertha is a great launching point to begin your day on "THE CHAIN" or a quick round of golf just down the road. If you want that true feeling of going to the lake and turning back the clock we would highly recommend WITCHWATER !!!!!!
Thank you, Patty and George, for your kind words. We appreciate you choosing us for your getaways. If there is anything that would make your stay even more enjoyable, just let me know. Thanks again, Jodie
Private and relaxing
This vacation home is truly rustic in such an amazing way. From the stove, the wooden beams, the decor, and stone fireplace it really felt like a cozy old cabin, but it was very spacious. For the age of the home, I was surprised how large the one bathroom was. The property is very secluded. We did a lot of fishing (caught crappies, northern pike, bass, rockbass and sunnies), swimming, had bonfires and walked the .4 mile driveway. The dogs loved the water, and although there is not a beach, the water right off the deck is not "weedy" and starts out pretty shallow. Perfect for cooling off. The sunsets from this side of the lake were also amazing!!! They provided a lot of chairs outside so you don't really have to bring much. There were lots of fans too since there is no air conditioning. The boat launch was only about 2 miles away and was very convenient. Hope to be back!!
Rustic and beautiful
This is a very comfortable, rustic cabin in a beautiful area. The kitchen is spacious for a place of this age, and it was well-equipped. The setting was very peaceful, and my young daughter enjoyed "nature walks" down the long driveway through the woods. We caught a lot of fish off the dock, mostly small but some "keepers" (though we didn't keep). The lake was fairly quiet mid-week but noisier on the weekends (which is typical). There is not a beach to speak of, but the lake bottom was fairly sandy and my kids enjoyed swimming and paddling around. We used the fireplace on the cool mornings, and the firepit on the cool evenings. It was a wonderful, relaxing week away from it all. Recommended.
The cabin was exactly as described. The photos were pretty accurate to what we found when we arrived at the cabin. The property was clean. There was an issue with the washing machine but was taken care of quickly the next day. I would recommend this property to a friend. We enjoyed the Stonehouse in Nisswa for breakfast items. Also, Giovanni's Pizza in Pequot lakes was good. The ice cream parlor in Pequot Lakes was a favorite.
Golfing and tourism. Travel by boat on the Whitefish chain. Restaurants, bars and more! Crosslake, Pequot Lakes and Nisswa are just minutes away!
