About this property
OCEAN FRONT MEXICAN STYLE VILLA, CARIBBEAN BLUE SEA VIEWS AND POOL - 6 guests
NEW NEWS - JUST ADDED: a fourth a BEDROOM SUITE and new ROOFTOP NORTH SECTION with a MEXICAN PALAPA UMBRELLA TELAVRRA TILED TABLE AND SMALL BAR with six polished concrete stools to augment the south rooftop section with its tanning lounges and bar. Hope you like it.
DRIVE down our private driveway entrance, open the "Olas" gate and there sits a Mexican style hacienda beach house home with a circular fountain surrounded by green gardens. It is now that you have your first view of the pool and the spectacular Caribbean blue sea.
Enter our home through the heavy Mexican style jungle wood doors, and you see a sliding glass roofless atrium and your first blue sea ocean view from inside. Spectacular.
The main living area, with its full ocean views, has a spacious combination living and dining room plus a large separate kitchen that has all the tools necessary for your master chef. The inside house atrium has local plantings, wall water fountain, round concrete sitting table and chairs. Look to the west for the concrete set of circular stairs that leads you to the rooftop sunning areas or nighttime star gazing areas.
As with many Mexican homes there is no central air conditioning. The inside has a huge, air-conditioned master suite has a private sitting room, large modern bath and of course a huge king size bed. How about waking up early and visiting a new colorful sunrise with coffee in bed or on the sitting room couch. A main house second bedroom is an air-conditioned suite with a queen-sized bed and newly renovated large bath. A third just added bedroom and bath suite includes a new concrete style concrete bed and of course ceiling fan and a/c. Surprise, the air conditioned fourth bedroom suite is like a private villa called a Casita. Mexican style designed with detailed Talavera tile with a double bed; the suite is only six steps to the main house front door and a dozen to the pool.
Outside activities, could include a siesta in the Mexican hammock on the fifty-foot seaside porch, relaxing in one of the twin hammocks in the seaside garden, lunch at the porch table under the shade palapa, or perhaps a dip in the freshwater pool, or just do nothing at poolside on one of the comfortable lounges or the fourth hammock under the picturesque pool palapa. How about a nighttime swim at the romantically lighted pool with running waterfalls?
For a morning venture, maybe serve coffee and breakfast in the open-air atrium with flowing water from our three-wall fish of atrium pond. And cap it all off with a scenic walk south down the Caribbean on a path in front of our home.
WELCOME to Casa de las Olas.
Oh! by the way, don't forget to enjoy all the fabulous Isla food. It is wonderful. We will email you a restaurant suggestion list and our information bulletin. All this information will get you started plus any assistance you may need from our property management team.

CASA de las OLAS INFORMATION
Welcome to our Mexican home. It has been a wonderful venture with many challenges. All worth it. We hope that you enjoy your stay in our Isla home and ask that you treat it as you would your own. Enjoy !!
Casa de las Olas history -- After visiting Isla for several years, property became available in the south end. In 1999 we purchased our lot. There were no other houses near our property. Our main house was finished in 2002 and ready for move in without any electrical power. That’s right, the first two years there were no poles along the street. Generator, my, it was noisy. We and the few homeowners down south of us established a home association and worked with the electric company to install electricity (of which we had to pay significant dollars). In 2004 we added the Mexican Casita so we would have more room for visiting family. 2005 was a big year with our last major hurricane, WILMA. We woke up and the house was still here, so we said, OK," let’s put in a pool". In 2006 we were swimming. In 2012 we remodeled the master bedroom and bath with a heavy sliding door for our privacy when family and friends arrive. In 2019 we decided to share with others and rent while we were up north. That same year we added split air-conditioning to the bedrooms. Full house air normally is not needed plus very expensive. In 2025, we decided to convert a large storage are to a fourth bedroom and bath. So here we are in 2025, I am now 83 (and the love of my life, Janet has passed) renting to you as I spend a little more time with family in the USA. So, please, enjoy our casa for Janet and me.
Our United States home is also on an island, about twice the size as Isla, called Grosse Ile located in Michigan. We have been very thrilled to have two homes with water all around us. Lucky too! SO PLEASE ENJOY OUR ISLA HOME.

Why they chose this property
When we bought the property, there was only one house on our Oceanside. It was unbelievable: the many colors of blue water, the cooling breezes, and island wildlife. Paradise!!! YES...
Slowly others have joined us, buying property and adding their dream house. Now we have what we dreamed of before year 2000, but with great neighbors and their guests.

What makes this property unique
Living next to the sea and enjoying a laid back life. In addition, a short ride away you have the white sand world famous north beach, a Centro district with touristy stores and many many fabulous restaurants. How wonderful it is.
