We enjoyed our stay and the location was great for traveling to Baltimore, DC, St. Michael’s, Ocean City and Assateague Island. We also enjoyed some of the amenities at the marina, including the kayaks, bikes, and especially the pool. The staff at the marina were very friendly. With that said, the communication/directions for accessing the amenities was not clearly communicated through messaging or once we arrived. We easily found the pool pass, but without the help of the people at the marina we never would have found the kayaks, life vests, bikes, or trail. While the house was clean, it doesn’t seem that it was “recently” remodeled. The walls need repainted in many rooms, the arm chairs need cleaned, the main entrance appeared to have some water damage previously, and the wood floors showed wear, especially at doorways. The washer also had mold in the detergent/softener drawer. We also had some difficulty with the refrigerator cooling down once we filled it with the food we had brought. Eventually it was able to cool down, but not before taking things out to try and get the temperature down. While none of this affected our overall stay, the cottage was slightly misleading in terms of new renovations. It definitely was updated, but pricey for the week we stayed. Again, overall we enjoyed our stay and the location worked out great for our needs.
