Located in the heart of this popular resort, our vacation home offers comfort and accessibility to all major attractions. Guests who choose to stay here will get much more than a great location! The property offers a open, lovely backyard perfect for outdoor entertaining. It is equipped with a picnic table and a nice supply of lightning bugs to provide the perfect summer glow. Before taking a bike ride or leisurely stroll in the morning, be sure to enjoy coffee on our large screened front porch. After an afternoon on the beach, the outdoor shower provides a attractive alternative to conventional bathing. The three bedrooms are comfortable, offering two queen and two twin beds. There is an upstairs bathroom located at the end of the hall that has been recently updated. The downstairs den, just off the kitchen and adjacent to another bathroom, is a great spot for watching television or playing board games. It is also a wonderful space for children to unwind while the adults gather elsewhere. Don't be surprised to see decor changes; we strive to keep things comfortable, functional and attractive for our guests. Please plan to enjoy the cottage in the summer season as well as for 'off season' getaways and special activities. Rehoboth hosts a variety of music, film and sports events throughout the year and our cottage is an ideal staging area for those wishing to participate.

About Cindy Mault

My grandmother purchased the cottage in 1952. I loved spending summers there with my parents, brothers and sisters. We enjoyed being close to the ocean and the boardwalk and looked forward to visiting each year. Even though I live and work in the Virgin Islands, a visit to Rehoboth has always provided me and my children with a connection to an old fashioned vacation filled with walking or riding bikes around town. The cottage is now filled with its fifth generation of happy family vacationers!

Why Cindy Mault chose Rehoboth Beach

The location is ideal. We enjoy coming up from the beach, hanging our towels on the line and taking outside showers. The large screened porch is fun for adults and children. The 'playroom' provides a quiet space for game playing or watching movies at the end of a full day!

What makes this cottage unique

Attractive, well located, fenced yard, outside shower and large front porch...park the car and you're set to relax! Guests will enjoy refurbished bathrooms, fresh paint throughout, a new queen bed and a spiffy, updated exterior!

Car: not necessary

Located in the heart of Rehoboth Beach, this unique property gives guests the ability to walk or bike to the best attractions and activities in the area. The ocean and the resort's popular boardwalk can be reached in minutes! Local restaurants offer a variety of dining choices both casual and fancy. Again, these are a short walk from the cottage.

Lovely cottage near the sea!!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful old but updated house with everything you need!! So close to the beach and the boardwalk (a little over a block away) and within walking distance to Rehoboth's shops and restaurants. Stayed here with my mom and sister for a girls' weekend and the three bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect! Thank you for sharing a piece of your family history with us:)

Great Value!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I traveled down with our 6 month old. The house was perfect - the beach vibe we were seeking. Short walk to the beach/boardwalk on a beautiful street. The screened in porch was great! We had the Grandparents down one night so we could have a date night - walking distance to our favorite spots - Henelopen City Oyster House, Dogfish, etc. The master bedroom had enough space for our pack-n-play. The AC units were great! Backyard was awesome. Driveway was just enough space. This has to be the best value for the area. Thanks!

Cozy Cottage but.....

  • 3 of 5

This is a cute cottage with great walking distance to the beach and funland. However it is in drastic need of updating! Listing states "air conditioning" should state window air conditioners and in need of replacing! The smaller bedroom with twin beds has an old window air conditioner that is loud and does not function very well. We could not use that bedroom for our two small children. They couldn't fall asleep in this room. Carpets are old and dirty looking! Kitchen floor is old and dirty looking! Not worth the rental price! Have stayed in other rentals on this same street and they were updated and clean. Our cars were a mess from parking in the driveway! Overgrown trees, pine needles and pine cones everywhere! Would not rent this property again.

Cute house, near beach, shaded

  • 4 of 5

The house is a perfect example of a traditional east coast beach house. The living room and screened porch were spacious and we literally lived on the porch! The squirrels and bunnies entertained us. We were 2 couples and an older mom so the sleeping arrangements were perfect. (We questioned what it would be like with 8 people and only 6 beds.) The 2 baths were nice particularly the one downstairs. And we loved the outside shower. The kitchen was well equipped especially for a beach rental. A grill would have been nice. We cooked in some and ate out the rest. Such nice restaurants in RB. One of our group had to work and found the WiFi went in and out. I had overlooked the room air conditioning units when renting but found it be satisfactory. We used the fans a lot; thank you for providing them. As usual we took a Coastal Kayak tour and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We recommend them. We liked that the house was a short walk to the beach and to downtown RB.

Owner's Response: I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. The porch is amazing and the "wild life" observation makes it even more fun! Long story short on the grill; in years past guests really neglected it on their short stays and it was an eyesore at checkin. With the weekly turnover, it became too much for me to maintain in the way I wanted.. Now guests planning to grill bring something small and portable and find a safe place to do vacation grilling if they wish. Enjoyed having you and hope you book at the cottage again next season.

Charming house w/ a great back yard

  • 4 of 5

My only complaint is that we were counting on a BBQ grill to be at the house and brought charcoal with us. We were able to borrow a grill and continue with our beach week plans. This house is so charming and worked really well for our family with parents, 2 adult children and 2 teen children. Most of our meals were on the charming screened in porch - coffee in the morning was the best after walking a short block and 1/2 to the beach to watch sunrise! The living room was larger than we expected and spent several hours playing cards and games in that room. The outside shower is very convenient and we were thankful it was there as the temps were in the 90s for our beach week 2017.

Owner's Response: It sounds like you had a great vacation at the cottage and I'm so glad. Yes, the screened porch and outdoor shower are favorites with most guests,, and I agree that board games just seem to be more fun when played at this locationI I stopped having a grill at the house some years ago; I was so glad to hear from you so we could clear that up and you could make the arrangements you did. Thanks for coming!

Great house near the beach

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our week at this house. Everything was in good condition and there was ample space for everyone. The screened in porch was really nice in the mornings and evenings. The location is fantastic - close to the beach, but on a quiet street. I would gladly stay there again.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your review of my cottage. I always enjoy hearing that others enjoy it as much as I do. Several guests have commented about the quiet nature of the street. That is a great benefit in my mind. The cottage is close to everything, yet removed from the noise and congestiion sometimes found at the beach. Please book for next year; I would love to have you!
