We had a wonderful stay at Surfside 1. For an entire month we enjoyed the Port Hueneme coast, a mere walk-thru gate exit, across the street to the beach, walks along a 400 + yard pier and beautiful weather. ( a lot more gentle than Chicago) Two crystal clear pools (one heated) with both pools having adjacent hot tubs. Lynn's abode holds everything one needs to feel right at home. We eventually got used to electric cooking and took advantage of it every day, getting it down to a science. Truly a lot of home well spaced in a condo setting. In our early 70's, Lynn's ground floor abode was a blessing on old bones! Would we stay again in the future....hell, yea! (p.s..-the parking permit hang on we failed to leave is 'in the mail'....no, really, it is. Mea culpa, Lynn)

Condo on the beach

Great hosts! Very accommodating. Great location right across from the beach. The condo is beautifully decorated and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Oh, and the pool is heated and well maintained. Can’t go wrong with this rental.

Beach Condo at Port Hueneme

We stayed at Lynn's condo for the month of July 2019. This is a cute condo with in a great location at Port Hueneme Beach. The beach is just across the street and you can hear the waves from the patio and master bedroom. The complex outdoor pool is heated and everything was super clean. We have stayed at other Surfside buildings in the past and this complex is definitely much nicer than some of the others. Two thumbs up for the Surfside 1. The HOA requires a background check for your stay. We felt very safe and at ease staying here. Lynn's unit is next to the outdoor pool and we were happy for a 10pm pool closure policy. I must say everyone we met were kind and very respectful when it came to keeping any noise down after hours.I This is a downstairs condo and like all downstairs condos you will hear the foot traffic above you. The neighbors upstairs were quite other than they have a squeaky floor. The unit may look small but Lynn has made the most of this space by having lots of closet space and shelving and the bedrooms. (I wished for more countertop in the kitchen but we made it work.) The beds were comfy. The fridge and electric range worked great. There is a Bbq on the patio which came in handy. I highly recommend the food at The Surfside Restaurant in the Beach across the street. Great food and a fun atmosphere with live music. Lynn genuinely does everything she can to ensure you have a wonderful time during your stay. She greeted us with a lovely bottle of Champaign and a cheese tray. A thank you note from Lynn was a perfect touch at the end of our stay.

A Great Stay in Port Hueneme!

This a wonderful property! It is literally a minute away from the beach. Kudos to Lynn! She is so wonderful and treats you like family throughout your stay. The condo is fully stocked with all the amenities you need during your visit -- and that's everything from cooking utensils to cleaning supplies to extra pillows/blankets to beach gear and more. The first day, she takes you on tour around the complex and the property itself. At the end of the tour, there was champagne and snacks awaiting you in the condo. My boyfriend happened to luck up on her one day and she gave him a bike to use around the area. The property is perfect for couples and families alike. The patio has a nice patio set where you could sit and listen to the waves crashing on the beach, while enjoying a drink. It was a fantastic stay where my boyfriend and I will definitely rent again from Lynn -- because she's the best.

Amazing beach condo!

I have stayed at a number of places through HomeAway and all of them have been nice. This beach front condo was by far the best place we have stayed! The owner, Lynn, has appointed the condo with everything you could possibly need. In addition, she had food and drinks for us on arrival. Every cleaner, detergent or other household product you might need was incredibly well stocked. I have been to many places where I bought food but forgot to buy cooking oil and had to make another trip to the store. This condo had three types of cooking oils, spices and every condiment we needed. It is a beautiful condo that is very well maintained. It is very bright with lots of natural light in every room. My children and I had plenty of space to play and enjoy time with our friends and family. The complex is steps from the beach and has two pools. Lynn is a fantastic host and we would definitely stay here again! If you need a place in Southern California this is a great choice!!

Beautiful poolside condo with ocean next door.

Beautifully decorated poolside condo. Gated community with the ocean across the street. Spent many morning and evenings walking the beach watching sunrise and gorgeous sunsets. Kitchen very well stocked with kitchenware and appliances. Lynn left a good supply of coffee , spices and condiments making for easier meal prep. We were greeted with chilled Champagne and a nice cheese tray. Plenty of room with two bathrooms a real plus. Beautiful Italian marble floors and granite countertops shows pride in ownership. Lynn and Don great hosts as well as very helpful and responsive. Looking forward to going again!

FABULOUS AND LUXURIOUS - BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED

This condo is exquisitely decorated and well stocked with more items than any other VRBO property we have stayed at. We knew this was the right choice when we arrived and there was chilled champagne and cheese tray waiting for us! And then opened the frig and cupboards and realized we hardly needed to buy anything because it was so well stocked. The condo is well done in Italian marble and granite and one of the best options was the luxurious jacuzzi tub along with two cozy spa robes! The views are amazing and we were just steps from the ocean and the owners were very attentive without being obtrusive. We can't wait to schedule again for next year!

100 steps to the beach. 5 star rated by Airbnb and VRBO. Amazing decor, amenities and hospitality are provided for your comfort. Ocean sounds and pier plus beach views await your arrival from the bedroom and large patio. There are 2 pools and 2 spas, in our gated community. covered parking, unhurried family community. Lots to do including: Relax in one of our two pools and spas. Relax at the beach which is only 100 steps from your private patio. Enjoy a bottle of Champagne on us and watch the beautiful sunsets. BBQ on your own private patio.Walk/bike the lighthouse promenade. This lighted paved path is 1/2 mile long with the port on one side and the ocean on the other. It ends at the harbor/entrance to the port. The lighthouse can be found at the end of the promenade. The port activities are very interesting to view from the promenade as Port Hueneme is a major port site for importing cars and fruit especially bananas.
View the port and the coastline from the top of the lighthouse. It is open to the public. Admission is free. Walk along or fish from the pier. It is a short walk across the street from the condo. Have a seafood dinner at Surfside Seafood located a short walk across the street from the condo.
Visit Bubbling Springs Park. Enjoy the serene bike path and walkway which is one block from our complex. This park's waterway is loaded with ducks, seagulls, and geese. Visit one of the neighborhood restaurants which includes seafood, Thai, French Fusion, Mexican, Filipino, and Vietnamese restaurants. Our neighborhood also has a pizza restaurant, breakfast/ burger/sub restaurant, and a coffee/sandwich shop. We are also close to Subway, Taco Bell, Wendy's, Burger King and KFC. Attend the Banana Festival and the Hueneme Beach Festivals which occur each summer. Take a boat ride to Channels Islands State Park. Rent a boat/kayak at Channel Island, Oxnard, or Ventura harbor.

The master bedroom has a queen-size bed with a wonderful memory foam mattress, smart TV, large closets and plenty of storage, with on-suite bath with a shower. The 2nd Bedroom has a full-size bed with a comfortable pillow-top mattress, large closet, dresser and smart TV. The 3rd Bedroom is set up with a twin bed, dresser occasional chair closet, and smart TV. We supply a folding desk so the room can doible as a work space. You will be provided with beach supplies including chairs and umbrellas, kitchen supplies, blender, toaster, dishes, Keurig coffee maker, iron and ironing board and convection oven, all linens and towels, 4 flat screen TVs with Cable TV, DVR plus a LG washer and dryer. Our wifi will take care of your tech needs with 500 MBPS. The complex offers two heated outdoor swimming pools, two spas, and reserved parking. There is a quiet beach across the street.The sand is a mere 100 steps from our private patio. Views and sounds of the whitewater and of the Hueneme pier can be seen from the patio, living room and master bedroom. Bring your electric car. We have on site chargers. Charging rates are discounted for guests
