Eagles on the beach at low tide, whales feeding in the shallows in the Spring, steps from the beach with no-bank waterfront - all of this in a community of only nine homes/cabins. There are no other cabins/homes for approximately a mile in one direction and two miles in the other which provides a perfect setting for romantic solitude and a safe haven for children and pets.
Upstairs is an open cathedral ceiling second story with two queen beds and a double bed.. Downstairs, in addition to a living room/kitchen area there is a small bedroom with a futon and a 3/4 bath with shower. Sit on the deck and enjoy views of the Cascades, Mt Baker, Mt Rainer and across the Sound to Hat Island, Mukilteo and Everett. Only ten minutes from the ferry and five minutes from the charming town of Langley.
Please note that holidays such as New Years, Memorial Day, etc. that are not in the summer will be charged at summer rates.
ABOUT PETS - Please note that pets are not allowed upstairs in the large, open sleeping area due to some guest's allergies. We will gladly make up the futon downstairs and they are welcome to sleep there. It is where I always slept with my pups and has a much thicker, comfortable mattress than on the usual futon. There is a dog gate and a door with which to close off the upstairs.
This VRBO partner has demonstrated and is committed to fast response times, the best rates, and a great guest experience.
I own the with a friend/business partner. Now that our dogs are senior citizens and our grandchildren are involved in endless activities, the cabin isn't often used. We hope it brings joy to our guests as it has to us for many years.

One of a kind
Our cabin is one of only nine on the beach. For a mile in one direction and two miles in the other, these are the only properties on the water. Eagles can be found on the beach at almost every low tide and often seals can be viewed swimming offshore.
Everything was there that we needed. Nice relaxing short getaway. Great place to wake up to beautiful sunsets. Only thing we missed was a GREAT dinner place that wasn't just burgers...oh well.
This had everything we could have wanted for a long weekend getaway. My husband and I along with our son, 5 year old grandson and small grand dog had a very memorable time. 3 times whales passed so close while feeding, along with seals and eagles. We played on the beach and explored Langley too. I would not hesitate to return to this peaceful place ... thanks for sharing Linda!
I was happy to see the cabin looked better in real life than it did in the pictures! Usually it is the other way around.
My only statement is just for parents of small kids, the stairs are a little unnerving (we have 5 and 3-year-olds), so our youngest wasn't allowed upstairs, but that wasn't a problem. It still served as a perfect base for our time in Langley.
Eagles, harbor porpoise, loons, and other wildlife are abundant. I can imagine in the summer, having a bonfire outside would be magical (we stayed in the winter).
Thanks for a wonderful retreat!
Very nice cabin and scenery and beach! Secluded yet close to any activities u want! The cabin had it all! Woke up to snow and even more beauty! The seal welcomed us and said goodbye! We will be back in the summer! Thank u Linda! Enjoyed our family time so much!
This was our second stay here and we will definitely be back. The cabin is right on the water and the view is simply unbeatable. It is such a treat to wake up in the morning to the sound of the waves and gorgeous sunrises (and the occasional diving bald eagle!). When we were there on Thanksgiving 2 years ago, the sea receded enough at low tide to be able to take nice long walks on the beach. Not so much this time around (also Thanksgiving) as the low tide was still quite high, but there are plenty of other places to take walks around the island. The cabin itself is really cozy and gets nice and warm even in wintertime. It is pretty rustic so don't expect anything luxurious - if you fancy proper wine glasses, bring your own or you will end up drinking in plastic cups :-). All in all, a wonderfully peaceful place, great for families with kids and dogs. Also, Linda is extremely responsive and accommodating. Thank you!
the property is as described, fairly simple, but great for getting away. The only small disappointment was the bed in the downstairs room is a futon and so not very comfortable for my husband and I. the kids loved the loft! Watching the eagles was very cool and probably the highlight along with digging for super tasty clams!
Crabbing and fishing off the pier at the Langley Marina.
