Love the lake, its access (launched boat 1/2 mile away and kept it at their dock. Easy fishing and swimming off the dock.Patti, the owner, was amazing communicator. We gave her feedback on a few cleaning items, which she quickly addressed with her housekeeping cleaner. We had an unusual stay because it was so wonderfully cool at night, but the A/C went out the first night. Patti was immediately responsive to get an HVAC person out, who by the way had exceptional customer service. We appreciated Patti going above and beyond with the AC as she had someone also drop off brand new box fans. We were very comfortable temperature-wise.Our bed was comfortable, which is a huge thing for us.Now, please keep in mind that this is a "vintage lake-side home," meaning it is rustic. We did not mind this because it reminded it of our youth at similar lake homes. Again, I want to stress the communication was the owner was always extremely pleasant, helpful, and quick.

Hidden Gem

If you are looking for a hidden gem, and you aren’t the type that needs something fancy, then this is the place for you! My family was looking for a last minute getaway to Lake Brownwood for fishing/skiing/relaxing. Honestly, this property was one of the last listings left when we booked. However, it was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin takes you back in time, but is filled with all the modern amenities you would expect. The property grounds make you feel like you are secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is a little walk down to the boat dock, but well worth it. Beautiful scenery all the way around. The host is very attentive and truly cares about her guests. The cabin itself is a time capsule, giving you the feeling of visiting your parents/grandparents house, and you truly feel like you are part of the family while there. We will definitely be back!

Needs some improvement

The main reason we picked this house was for the dock. We own a boat. The wasp’s were so bad. Couldn’t enjoy ourselves. You should really make an effort to remove them. And the top of dock had big nails sticking out and loose boards. So it was dangerous with small children. And also we were asked to keep all our trash inside home while we stayed and they would pick it up. 3 days 6 people. That was a lot of trash we had piled up in the house. So we took our trash and dumped it at flat rock park. It was supposed to have a circle drive. We have a boat and it was not a circle drive. The internet password I was given didn’t work at all. Just some things you might want to fix it would make the next family’s stay more enjoyable

Miles Family Reunion

The host wad great as usual. It was super hot that weekend but the A/C was great. We stayed last year and there was a very noticeable difference in cleanliness inside and outside. Parking wad difficult. Trees and grass needs trimmed all aroukd the property. Patio was is disaray. TV was very small and hard to see by all. Boat dock was great and we enjoyed being able to dock our boat. Inside floors were not as clean as last year. The cabin was good, but not as good as last year. We still had a great time.

Nice lake house

It was a nice stay. The lake house has nice and surrounded with big trees for an outdoorsy feel. There was a tree swing our toddler enjoyed out back. Went down to the dock to fish. The home was clean, and the owner was very friendly.

This cottage is quaint, cute and quiet right by the lake but close to town if needed. We all loved it and will be back again!

Thanksgiving at the Lake House with the Family!

Patti had everything at the Lake House that you could want or need for your stay. Pretty much just need to bring your food. If you love nature it's the place for you all you have to do is just treat the property with love and respect. Deer grazing in the yard, turkeys gobbling, fish in the lake, etc. I WILL ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE and again Patti is the BEST! Thank you for making our family Thanksgiving AWESOME ma'am!

Great Cabin

We arrived and was so excited to see the cabin. It met all of our expectations. The cabin was very clean and taken care of. Check- in was very easy. We enjoyed our time here so much.

Amazing Cabin

My family stayed here for the 4th of July weekend and had the best experience!! We fished, swam off the dock, watched fireworks from our boat and enjoyed watching all the deer. The cabin had fantastic A/C which we were very grateful for. There is plenty of space and tons of living space which is great for family time! The dock was a little bit of a walk but worth it. We were able to keep our boat tied up in there and it was so easy to take it out for short or long periods! Would definitely rent this cabin again, we had an amazing experience and a memorable weekend!!!

Nice and quiet get away spot!

This Cabin is PERFECT for a quiet get away on the lake! I think what we loved most about the cabin is the fact it's stocked with all the dishes, blankets or games you need for a week or weekend getaway. We saw lots of deer and wild bird's and got a couple of visits from the friendly dog and cats that live in the area which we really loved! The owner is also super nice and quick to respond to any questions I had! I highly recommend this cozy cabin on the lake!

Our family's cabin was built by my grandparents in 1943 while my dad was overseas fighting in WWII. They lived at the lake for several years and I enjoyed lots of time there with all of our family from near and far.
After my parents' death, I bought the house from my cousins with the purpose of keeping it for our family and generations to come. It has become a place for weekend visits and family reunions!

This property is not finely manicured but instead has a well-maintained yet natural look to give you a secluded country feeling. Many of the homes in our area are full-time homes for the people around the cove. Others are vacation homes. But all are situated on beautiful Lake Brownwood and that means fishing, swimming and fun!

We hope you'll enjoy the large patio that overlooks the lake. It is ready for you with a grill and seating for 8. The sun comes up over the lake on the patio side, so be sure not to sleep too late so you can enjoy the changing colors of the beautiful and unforgettable sunrise.
